Guest：Helpful staff and great breakfast buffet. Superior location to the ferries. We enjoyed the top room with an amazing view of the lake. I would recommend this quaint hotel to anyone venturing the area. The island is super convenient with train and ferry access.
Guest：Stayed here as part of a group. The hotel is located on one of the main streets and is only 5 minutes walk from the harbour and railway station. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. Lovely fresh bread and rolls. This is a small hotel with rooms on 5 floors. There is a small,rather elderly lift but we had no problems with it. We were on the fourth floor and we were occasionally disturbed by noisy revellers in the street in the period up to midnight and beyond. We had the windows wide open because of the hot weather. While we were there in early September daytime temperatures were up to 28 degrees so we had some hot and sticky nights. Lack of air conditioning a definite disadvantage.
Guest：This is a clean, comfortable, reasonably priced hotel in a convenient location. I would say that about many hotels that I have stayed in. But this hotel had THE friendliest staff that I have ever experienced in my 64 years. That includes the check-in staff, the breakfast staff - even the chambermaids were noticeably pleasant and amiable. When, on a Sunday (stores closed), we discovered an urgent need for a product, they treated us like family and met our need promptly. When we left, I nearly thought I was leaving old friends. I know that being friendly is, for a hotel, just good for business. But not every hotel does it very well at all, and NONE that I've ever seen does it as well as this one. Highly recommended!
Guest：This hotel is located right on the main street on the island so it's very well located for shopping and dining nearby. We only stayed one night due to travel but if you're in this area it's a very good option. Things mentioned in other reviews that rang true based on our visit was the rooms being on the small size and the lack of air-conditioning. That wasn't an issue for us due to the weather but on a warmer night it seems like it could be quite stuffy based on the setup. The one elevator is also quite small, while it works perfectly well it's going to take a few trips if you have multiple people with suitcases. :) We found the staff to be exceptionally pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was wonderful so no complaints from that point of view. If you're going to be in Lindau I think you'll find this a great location for all of your needs.
