Guest：Shishangeni Private Lodge is one of many in Kruger National Park, but a nice one. Placed close to the crocodile river which we can reach with a short drive and enjoy watching the hippos and crocodiles. We enjoyed 4 game drives with a well equipped safari vehicle, allowing us to breath the African wilderness and encounter the wild animals so open and close.. a thrilling experience with a wealth of new and interesting information about the animals and this habitat, well performed by our lovely ranger Nexan. Each of the four trips took a different route, exploring more animals and nature. One reached the boarder wired fence to Mozambique, where we overlooked the towns and railway on that side. The lodge has the necessities and a nice African art interior. I personally enjoyed the comfort, the air-conditioned sleep and the outdoor shower. Food was ok not exceptional, the staff service, however, was superb. Want to extend special thanks to the amazing manager Nomsa who left no opportunity to make us feel happy and indulged. Her problem-solving ability and positivity are admirable. No wonder her staff is a very friendly team. The Kruger park is huge and rich on animals and green nature. We were blessed with a pleasant weather and cloudy sky that shaded the sun, it even rained very little… just ideal for moving around. We didn’t suffer from mosquitoes, and the room has a repellent spray. You can borrow an electric adapter, which is badly needed to recharge your devices. Recommend to secure the type M with you. Overall, a worthy experience for all ages.

Guest：Amazing place! Maybe the one where I spent my best time in the life so far! Everything inside is amazing in the style and the impression. Food is super a lot and good. But main thing here is of course safaris! Many and breathtaking! Just super full of all the possible animals you can dream to see! Can't wait to be back! Philip best ranger in the world!

Guest：The lodge with its nice chalets is wonderful. It felt like a dream living there, especially because of the very caring and friendly staff. We’ve never experienced such a warm and beautiful atmosphere before. Everybody was so friendly! Our Safari tour guide Harold was the best guide in whole Kruger Nationalpark and we had the best talks and Game drives with him. He showed us all the Big 5 and even more animals in just three days and was always motivated to take an extra round. He always had an open ear for questions and as well he had a lot of knowledge of the animals and nature. His friendly and warm character makes you feel comfortable during the whole game drive. We can only recommend him!

Guest：The accommodation: The architect has been skilled. Really beautiful and inviting hotel with individual rooms/accommodations beautifully integrated into the landscape. From our own balcony we saw an elephant and a kudu. There was plenty of food - almost too much, but the staff only wanted us the best. The food was good, especially the crocodile steaks :-). A special experience was the evening when the food was served outdoors at the hotel's bonfire, where the tables were nicely set up for the guests. The game drives: Our driver Herold was really good at finding the animals. 3 hours of driving in the morning and again in the afternoon felt - to us :-) - like no time because it was so exciting. We got many good pictures and have had an experience for life. Thank you very much, Herold. Our stay was from 8th to 13th February 2024.
