Guest：Bartles Lodge is a gem of a hotel. It’s situated in a very peaceful and serene village, making it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of day to day life. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and cosy, offering all the amenities you’d expect and more. While subjective, I found the bed to be one of the most comfortable I’ve had in recent memory. When it comes to breakfast, the spread on offer is fantastic: cereals, toast, pastries, chocolates, fruits and a selection of cooked offerings. The wonderful owners go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and looked after; they couldn’t have done more to make us feel at home. After living out of business hotels for the past two years, Bartles Lodge was a welcome breath of fresh air. If I find myself needing lodging in the area again, I’ll be looking to book here.
