Guest：I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location is convenient and close to many attractions and restaurants. Overall, it was a good experience and I would consider staying here again.
Guest：The room itself was clean and the room service was decent, but all of that was completely ruined by the blatant discrimination from the lobby manager, Jimitation—I had originally decided to stay here a second time, but now I just feel utterly disgusted! In the early hours of the morning, I finished my trip and was the first to arrive at the front desk. I handed over my passport and waited to check in, only to be left standing there for a full five minutes. Jimitation ignored me the entire time, with no communication or response whatsoever. It wasn’t until white guests arrived to check in that he immediately put on a smile and served them first—no explanation, no reasonable excuse, just openly prioritizing others over me! When I took the initiative to ask when I could check in, he coldly replied, “You can’t check in now; you’ll have to come back in two hours,” his attitude arrogant and dismissive. This kind of differential treatment is not an oversight—it’s deep-seated discrimination! As a paying guest, I felt nothing but insult, disrespect, and profound humiliation. Jimitation’s behavior not only violates basic professional ethics but also tramples on the bottom line of equality between people! I will never choose this hotel that condones discrimination again, and I strongly advise everyone who values being treated equally to stay away—a place filled with discrimination is not worthy of being called a “service hotel” at all!

From the moment you walk in, the space feels calm, elegant, and thoughtfully curated — with soft lighting, modern decor, and a relaxed atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. The rooms are spacious and stylish, with comfortable beds, sleek bathrooms, and all the modern touches you’d expect from a high-end stay. Many rooms have lovely city or garden views, and everything feels fresh and well maintained. The service is a real highlight — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever being overbearing. Staff are always ready to help with taxis, recommendations, or little details that make the stay smooth. The restaurant and bar area are also excellent — whether you’re enjoying breakfast by the pool or evening cocktails, the food and presentation are consistently impressive. It’s a quiet escape from the bustle of Colombo but still close to the city’s main attractions, cafés, and shopping spots. Overall, Sofia Colombo offers a perfect mix of style, comfort, and personality. Ideal for travellers who appreciate boutique luxury with a local touch.
Guest：Nice rooms, good location, and the staff was very friendly. Good business hotel, but also good for couples and families. Although the booking said "ocean view", didn't get a "full ocean view" room. However, there was a nice view of the city and a partial view of the ocean which was unobstructed. Standard cleanliness and amenities. You have to specifically tell the housekeeping team if you want the bed linens changed. Wi-Fi is a bit jittery and requires you to log in every day for some weird reason, but speed is okay too. Breakfast buffet is nice with a standard spread of local vs continental. Egg hoppers are a bliss, and they'll make yours fresh every morning. Food at the restaurant/lounge is average, but they make a good Long Island Ice Tea at the bar. I was unable to attend breakfast as I had an early flight, requested the front desk to swap out the breakfast for a club sandwich at 3am, they were able to do that. The staff are overall nice and friendly, except for one guy at the reception who for some reason took 1000LKR for a replacement key and didn't want to give me a receipt for it. They also didn't give me a hotel invoice during check-out and said I will have to collect it from Trip.com. While I do have the invoice from Trip.com I found it as standard practice in most other hotels to share a copy of the invoice during checkout.
