Guest：The cottage was lovely and the couple who own it (Gemma and Andy) did everything possible to make our stay a very good one. No issues with the accommodation (our issues were with the weather!). Internet was good, which is often a worry in old stone cottages.
Guest：We booked all of the cottages at Trengale for accommodation for our wedding in May 2024, and every cottage was absolutely perfect. A few of the cottages had also been recently refurbished to a very new and modern standard, and it was so lovely staying in the countryside at Trengale Farms with their honesty shop and games room which had a pool table. The cottages are also brilliant for children, with a Gruffalo nature trail, plenty of land to explore and animals to see, and a play area right in front of the cottages. Gemma and Andy are lovely hosts and very welcoming, and made us feel right at home. We would fully recommend Trengale hope to visit again one day!
Guest：We first stayed at Lower Trengale as a family of 3 in 2021 and loved it! We visited again as a group of 13 (adults and children) for 3 nights over New Year 2024, and stayed in the two larger cottages which have everything you need and are tastefully decorated. We also had use of the Studio, a great communal room with kitchenette, log burner, huge table and disco lights! This was perfect for our New Year celebrations! Gemma and Andy are fantastic hosts and went above and beyond for us sourcing a speaker for us and other essentials we had left behind! The kids loved exploring the safe and substantial grounds and playing pool/table tennis in the games room. It gave them independence and the adults some peace! Nearby we visited Sibleyback lake and the beautiful Golitha Falls. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lower Trengale and will be back again for sure!
