Guest：This beautiful place is just perfect for couples looking to relax in quiet surroundings in front of the sea and quiet beaches. Away from tourist traps, bars and disco nightlife, but with authentic restaurants in walking distance. Our full recommendation goes to Bansala where you will find the most helpful hosts that you can think of.
Guest：We have just had the most beautiful relaxing holiday ever! We stayed in Vounaria a couple of years ago and we liked the quiet of the area and the stunning scenery. This time we managed to reserve a bungalow in Ban Sala, which made this holiday even better. Only a few, tastefully arranged bungalows on a lovely hill with a breath-taking view. Every bungalow is arranged so you have some privacy in your piece of garden; the interiors are new and functional and spacious (useful if you get caught by a summer storm), we found the living room and kitchen area perfect and were able to cook our food as we'd do at home! The owner is extremely polite and friendly and knows the area very well so can advise on restaurants and sightseeings should that be needed, but never intrusive (BTW being British makes it easier to communicate for those who don't speak Greek), the service staff cleans every day and they are also very polite and friendly should you need anything different from the standard. Ban Sala is certainly our go-to place in this area of Greece! Guest：A splendid base in south east Messinia. A 10 minute drive from the lovely town of Koroni and well located for visiting the other sites in the region. The self catering apartments are located on a site close to Peroulia beach and at the end of the season it is a very quiet location. The villas are in beautifully landscaped gardens where there is a very nice pool. Each villa has its own outside area for eating or taking in the views across to the Mani. The villas are a good size and contain everything you might need. We cooked a couple of dinners in addition to breakfasts and found all that we might need to do so. A suggestion is slightly larger tables on the terrace, ours was a bit cramped to feel relaxed around. A large comfortable bed and plenty of storage. Great strong shower. Bed linen and towels are changed every 2-3 days. Good and quiet aircon meant we slept very well. There are a couple tavernas in village within walking distance which are fine. Also some options on the beach with a longer walk or short drive. Alternatively drive into Koroni where there are lots of options. The on site manager knows the area well and can make suggestions. He keeps a low profile allowing visitors to enjoy themselves but checks in helpfully from time to time which is great. Highly recommended for this great region.
Guest：All five villas are the same inside, but our had perhaps the best location: the closest to the pool, with a massive terrace overlooking the pool and Koroni in the distance. The villa is very well fitted out with a comfortable bed, excellent bathroom (er... despite rather dodgy toilet plumbing!), extensive fitted wardrobes, settee and kitchen with oven, hob, toaster and satisfactory range of crockery and cooking equipment. All furnishings are modern and the villa was spotlessly clean. The good-sized infinity pool is very well maintained by John, the resident owner/manager and has plenty of loungers and umbrellas. However, at mid-day the sun is very hot and the shadow cast by umbrellas is small, and it's not easy to find enough shade to sit comfortably in. The villas are close to a very nice quiet small beach with safe bathing, and a ten-minute walk from a longer beach with a bar and loungers. This is an expensive property, and although we enjoyed our stay very much there are a few improvements that I could suggest to make the experience even better: - a welcome pack of information about the villas, such as a run-down on local tourist sites and advice on restaurants - shade on the terrace of our villa: our umbrella was blown over in the slightest wind and there is not enough shadow to cover a lounger - more shade round the pool - repairs to broken mosquito screens - attention to the dessicated grassed areas
