  • Guest：It’s a hunted hotel.
  • Guest：I stayed for one night at The Chambers Hotel. Though it’s well maintained, it still looks dated but still comfortable enough. The receptionist was friendly enough to upgrade me to family room as my own room type was already full. Wifi is quite strong though it may lag sometimes when streaming videos. The toiletries are relatively sufficient with both shampoo/body soap combo and toilet paper (though there’s a bidet spray). I couldn’t find the hair dryer and was careful about opening drawers as some of them looked old and brittle. It would be good if the furniture could be maintained better. Location-wise, this is a very good location as it’s just opposite the Esplanade. It’s a good location for those who wants to mostly visit points of interest in historical George Town. I picked this location as I needed to take my ferry to Butterworth in the morning and this is just 10 minutes walk away. However, as it’s right next to the main road, there tends to be noisy cars passing by even during the wee hours. Convenience wise, there is a water dispenser in the hotel and there is also a 7-Eleven if you need stuff late at night.
