This property was a great stay for my family and I during our visit on the island. Our rooms were clean, the service was excellent but the only thing I wish was available is some sort of fitness center. Otherwise if that is not a concern of yours then you will love it.
I was hoping to love this place, Unfortunately, from the moment I stepped out of my transport I was greeted rudely by the people at the front of the hotel. I believe they assumed I was a “local?” Horrible first impression. I read they offered airport transfers for their guests… So I asked if they were able to transport me to the church less than a mile away as other hotels have accommodated me in my travels… the response i received was… “That’s only for the tourists.” I don’t know if it’s because I look a certain way but I felt extremely uncomfortable and judged. I only stayed because my family booked room here. I asked to check in early. None was available, understandable. They didn’t check anyone in until THIER clock on the wall said 3 o’clock on the dot, Which was a few minutes later than all the digital clocks around. Many people were all lined up just to check in at 3. I guess I’ve never really experienced being such an inconvenience to a hotel establishment. I do not feel they really expect you to want to come back. I guess it works for them. After checking in i proceeded to the tiny elevator, only 2 on each side of the hotel. Extremely inconvenient, and very wet from people coming out of the pool. I had to wait multiple times just to get to the third floor. When i finally got to my room i noticed a puddle in the bathroom… I looked up and their was dripping from the light fixture. Gross. They didn’t give me another room. Not my best experience. NOT recommended.
As a former resident of Saipan for about 24+ years, Saipan’s world resort has proven to be an amazing experience. From the friendly staffing, delicious foods, amenities, the resort’s location, and the amazing blend of cultures enforced here. World Resort is truly an amazing place to spend time with the family, friends, and others. Recently, I came back from the United States to visit family on the island. I chose World Resort to stay for 16 days knowing the what an amazing experience it is. The staff accommodated my stay effectively by providing me with extra supplies and resources in my room such as towels and water. Despite all the positive aspects, I would like to note that the WiFi isn’t as strong and often disconnects users without their knowledge. It does get frustrating reconnecting to the WiFi each time especially to one that is slow. Another issue I’ve had was actually when I was about to conclude my stay at World Resort. Involving the staff member, I believe “Rowie” at the front desk. I asked Rowie at the front desk if there was an available drop-off at the airport. He noted that drop offs were only available for Tourists. Mind you, I reserved my stay online at the website from San Francisco. The record should be in the system that I am a Tourist. Despite telling that I am a Tourist he then goes on to say there are no available rides for my leave date. His actions and professionalism convinced me that he was lying to my face.
Will return to Saipan. May try a different hotel
This place caters to kids pretty well. Staff are ok, not the best at communicating. Lots of Korean tourists. We were definitely a minority.
