Guest：We visited Saint Lucia in July 2025 and stayed in Lodge Afrique with our family of five (3 children). We had two beautiful cottages / lodges in front of each other. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The garden is extremely peaceful with lots of nature and flowers, and little monkeys visiting. The restaurant for breakfast and the lounge have a cosy and african feel. Breakfast is just amazing, really delicious with special attentions for small children. The lodge is very family minded and personnel is extremely friendly and helpful with everything. Lodge Afrique is perfectly situated to discover Saint Lucia, the estuary and Isimangaliso Wetland. This was our first stop in South Africa and we will definitely go back!
Guest：Our stay at Lodge Afrique was outstanding from start to finish. The lodge itself is beautifully designed: spacious, free-standing thatched suites set within a lush subtropical garden, connected by raised wooden walkways that immediately make you feel relaxed and immersed in nature. The suites are immaculate, thoughtfully laid out, and wonderfully comfortable, with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, and charming Afro-Victorian bathrooms. The private outdoor African shower is a real highlight. Breakfast is served on a lovely open-air deck and is excellent — generous, fresh, and unrushed. It’s the perfect way to start the day in such a peaceful setting. What truly elevates Lodge Afrique, however, is the hospitality. Roanda, the manageress, is exceptional. Her warmth, kindness, and attention to detail make guests feel genuinely welcome rather than simply accommodated. She runs the lodge with heart, supported by a superb team — and even the resident animals (Daisy and Cutie-Pie) add to the lodge’s unique, homely charm. This is one of those rare places that feels both professional and deeply personal. We left relaxed, well cared for, and already hoping to return. Highly recommended for anyone visiting St Lucia.
Guest：This was our second stay at Lodge Afrique and it was lovely. The manageress was helpful and friendly. She booked all our tours on our behalf and clearly explained times and tour requirements. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The setting is delightful with beautiful orchids and lush plants. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented. I highly recommend Lodge Afrique.
Guest：We had a wonderful five night stay in Lodge Afrique. We arrived with a warm welcome from our host Gail and nothing was too much trouble for her. Our room was lovely and comfortable with a large shower and a bath big enough for two. Breakfasts in the morning were delicious and plentiful and we were just a short walk from the centre of St Lucia. It was a peaceful place to stay and after being in Durban for a week it was a welcome rest and felt like we were finally on holiday. All the staff were lovely and we would highly recommend a visit here, we will definitely be coming back!
