THEY CAN IMPROVE ON MODRDENIZING THE ROOMS A LITTLE BIT

This hotel is in Kigali, Rwanda- a progressive and trending tourist destination in Africa. We were a very large group, so we expected a little learning curve. And yet, we had friends that stayed at other brand hotels in Kigali and had a magnificent experience. So this review is very specific to our experience at the Gorilla Golf. Pros: Restaurant had good food and service (service slow, but they work hard) Location, good location. the hotel is near to banking, restaurants, shopping, taxis, etc. Price: good price, but we still had better expectations. Cons: No hot water for 6 of the 8 days we stayed there. When the room attendants clean your room they leave doors and patio enclosures open ( I guess because of chemicals) but then the mosquitos fly in. We whacked about 10 in one night. Front desk slow and check-out brutal (it took over 30 minutes to check out). Review your bill carefully as several of us experienced errors in the billing, rates and charges. Room keys had to be activated daily. Front desk management not helpful or concerned about patrons' issues. We expressed our hot water issue several times and not once did a manager check on our condition nor follow-up as to whether it was resolved (and it never was resolved). The Gorilla chain is unresponsive. I sent an email to corporate office and never heard back from them. I cannot recommend any Gorilla brand hotel, especially since there are several customer-friendly options in the beautiful city of Kigali in the fabulous country of Rwanda! Please visit Rwanda!!!

Had a few issues that could easily be addressed, but, the room carpets need to be changed, steam cleaned more often… Otherwise, clean and pleasant staff. Only did 1 night stays. There was a power ***** in the room which was convenient to charge multiple devices. Breakfast was great. Bar hours very accommodating. If I had to overnight I probably would stay here again.

Nice location, beautiful property with comfortable accommodations. Breakfast buffet was poor, often lacking basic table place settings (napkins, spoons, forks), standard items like coffee, fruit or beverages. Hot food selection (beans) left cold. Cereal with no bowls or milk, croissants no butter, etc… I was there for 4 days and it felt like everyday I had to ask for multiple items that should have been there. Staff was quite glad to provide. Bedroom didn’t have a Do not disturb sign for the door. Rather, they had a “please make my room” sign. Housekeeping came knocking even when I didn’t have the sign out. I couldn’t figure out how to get them not to come. Shower has no curtain or glass divider so water everywhere after my shower. No washcloths provided. Wait and security staff were nice though many couldn’t speak English nor French. Miriam at the front desk was very nice and hospitable.

This hotel is nestled in one of the numerous mountains of Kigali. The hotel is clean with spacious rooms fitted with decent facilities like a coffee/tea station, study table and chair, air conditioning unit, bath tub/shower, a wide bed with sheets changed every day and a balcony overlooking the golf area and hotel swimming pool. The hotel restaurant and bar offer awesome Rwandese and continental meals and some decent selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. This is a serene facility which offers value for money accommodation.

The 4 star hotel is simply brilliant!. Located in the cool leafy and serene Nyarutarama suburbs. The well appointed spacious rooms, wide menu selection, clean and well maintained swimming pool besides reliable internet connection worked for me. The staff were attentive and willing to go extra mile. Will definitely go back!
