We had a four night break in Carbis Bay Cornwall staying at Thurlestone Guest House the first week in September. We were warmly welcomed and had a great stay. The owners, John and Linda, had a good local knowledge, that was helpful. This guest house has a good location with easy access to St Ives and for travelling the area. There is a nice walk to Carbis Bay beach and to St Ives. There is parking at the Guest House and close to public transport if needed. The breakfast was first first class and there was a very friendly atmosphere. The room was immaculately clean and very comfortable. We hope to stay here again when we return to Cornwall. Fantastic stay at this lovely guest house, John and Linda made us feel very welcome. We had room 8 for the sea views and it didn’t disappoint. Room was clean and tidy, breakfast was great lots of choice even had my own vegetarian menu. Handy for the buses having a bus stop nearby and plenty of local restaurants recommend Gannet Inn 2 minute walk away. Would definitely go back.

Wonderful B&B run by such a friendly and helpful couple. We really enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend it. The breakfast was delicious, the beds comfy & the room was immaculate. Great location too. Carbis Bay beach is very close and is beautiful (avoid the expensive restaurant there though ??)

Absolutely wonderful experience at Thurlestone. John and Linda were a lovely couple who greeted us, served us and fed us with a kindness and warmth that was truly exceptional. House is lovely and the location is ideal for the beach and bus routes. You will not be disappointed.

Spent a lovely week here.John & Linda perfect hosts.Rooms spotless ,food delicious, and very convenient for buses trains,walking ,and restaurants.Plenty to see & do,John very informative about the area.Would definitely recommend a visit.

We had an excellent stay at Thurlstone House, the room was lovely and spotless, very comfortable and an excellent 5 star breakfast! Linda and John were excellent hosts, we will definitely be returning soon! The location was very good, not far to the gorgeous Carbis Bay beach, and an easy walk into St.Ives.

Lovely B & B in the perfect location & a great base for exploring Cornwall, big comfy bed & the best freshly cooked breakfast each morning along with a cute jar of fresh fruit, 5 min walk to what we think is the best beach in Cornwall, the coastal path into St Ives is a must do for the views, Carbis Bay has local pubs & restaurants too. John & Linda are the perfect hosts & if we’re ever back in Cornwall this is where would we stay, we loved it!

Chris, my husband and i spent 4 nights at Thurlestone guest house over the early may bank holiday. John and Linda our hosts, were so warm and welcoming. The room was superb, with a lovely sea view. Nothing was too much trouble for them . On arrival, they both met us at the car, and carried our cases up.John booked us in, and gave us very great information of places to eat, and visit. We had a superb choice of breakfast every morning. The walk down to Carbis bay, was right opposite our guest house. The flowers ,stream and scenery were so picturesque. It was only a short walk, but to walk out onto Carbis bay beach at the end of the footpath was breathtaking. The restaurant we ate at that evening was perfect, overlooking the beach a. little expensive, but we were there celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. So we didn't mind splashing the cash. It was certainly an evening we won't forget.I can honestly say it was one of the nicest places in Cornwall we have visited over the years. We will definitely be back to Thurlestone Guest house, as long as John and Linda will have us!!

Thurlestone House is the best guest house we have stayed in. John and Linda are excellent hosts, they go the extra mile to ensure your holiday is perfect. The House is spotlessly clean throughout. Breakfasts are brilliant with plenty of choice and dietary requirements are met. The location is superb with lovely views. The bus service is great and stops just outside of the house. I would definately recommend staying here and we will be returning very soon.

Right where to begin...? What a lovely couple John and Linda are. Nothing and I mean Nothing is too much trouble. The room was immaculate, the attention to detail was incredible. The bed was super comfy, The food, OMG the breakfast was to die for! I wish our stay was my Groundhog day!
