We had an absolutely fantastic weekend at The Aluthgama House! The location and ambience provided the perfect backdrop for our class reunion, creating an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to fulfill our needs, ensuring that we felt not only comfortable but also pampered in our home away from home. The food and beverages served were delicious, catering to our preferences. The clean and comfortable rooms provided a relaxing retreat after our lively celebrations. Overall, The Aluthgama House surpassed all expectations, making our reunion truly special and memorable.

We were spending over a month in Colombo for work and wanted to spend a couple of days at a beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature. We have experienced The Aluthgama House as well as couple of the luxurious Taru Villas hotels by the seaside in Sri Lanka. With no doubt I highly recommend The Aluthgama House as the TOP. Beautiful private house, incredibly friendly staff (for real, they really mean to make you feel at home, like family!), great traditional home-made food, fantastic pool, direct access to the lake/river, access to private boat trips, nature as its best, ... It simply feels great. We traveled with our 1 year old baby and the staff did everything to make us feel good. Prepared our baby meals just like at home, organized a short trip for us to the beach nearby, a boat trip in the lake, a massage by the pool, ... I have traveled a lot around the world, seriously, this is one of those places I highly recommend. We′ll be back.

We (9 family members) got the entire villa for one night. This is one of the best villas we have ever been to. There were 4 massive bedrooms with massive super clean bathrooms. The pool was the main attraction to our group. The river view was also very calming. We were on full-board basis and their food and service were excellent. Parents got head & shoulder massages as a bonus activity. Our toddler also enjoyed the place a lot. Highly recommended. We are definitely planning to go there again.
