On arrival, we were greeted by a very pleasant host who was very helpful settling us into our room. The room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our one night stay. In normal circumstances, I would have given this a higher rating. However, we were awoken at around 2am by who we presume was the host and her partner having the most almighty argument which including a lot of swearing and loud shouting. This went on for some considerable period of time and is totally unprofessional and unacceptable in an establishment such as this!!
Stayed at Broom Lodge on 8th Oct. It's a great place to stay, lovely and clean and the owner is a lovely friendly lady and very helpful. I think it's the best breakfast you'll get in Largs. It's our 3rd stay and will be back next year.
Coup de c?ur pour cet h?tel familial. Son emplacement entre les vallées est spectaculaire et son calme est absolu. Les chambres sont de taille moyenne, mais cela nous suffisait pour une nuit. La propreté est irréprochable. La vue balcon est incroyable avec le bruit de la rivière en contrebas. Le petit déjeuner est varié et copieux, proposant des spécialités de la région. Le personnel est serviable et chaleureux. Pour finir, je vous conseille de tester leur restaurant avec sa terrasse offrant une vue magnifique sur la vallée. La carte n’est pas étoffée mais propose des spécialités régionales. C’était incroyable. N’hésitez plus et faites vivre cet h?tel familial!
Toilet not even on same floor as bedroom. Shared toilet/shower room with at least 5 people - very inconvenient when you can't get in to use the toilet in the morning because the shower is in use. Also, it wasn't the cleanest shower. No wardrobe - only a tallboy with shelves and a mirror. The room did have a kettle but no sink - pointless!
We had a very pleasant stay at Broom Lodge! There's a good variety of rooms, plenty of options for breakfast, and its well located right in front of the water - with a fantastic view. Its a great stop if you are looking for accommodation near the Kelburn Estate or looking to explore the coastline. However, Kloe is the standout - she really goes above and beyond and tries her best to add value to your stay. Whether you want information on how to make the most of the Kelburn Festival or advice on how best to visit the broader area, she has great insight and is keen to assist. She was very flexible and accommodating! I would recommend Broom Lodge and look to return!
Just a lovely gaff in a lovely area we didnt have a view from the room as was facing the back but the front view would be lovely . Loved it quiet and cozy
Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by Shauna, who was very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for her; she even went out of her way to get Nutella spread and non-dairy milk for my son. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. We would recommend a stay here if you're visiting Largs.
