  • Guest：Great Breakfast. Great walk to Kilkenny Castle & St. Canise, Medieval Mile, Langston Garden Hotel and Roth House and so many others.
  • Guest：We arrived at the Hoban Hotel in Kilkenny on 9/6/2025 and found a real mess. For starters, the Hoban exteriors looked very run down and old. Like a fallout zone on the side of a busy highway. We examined the room and found old and dated furnishings and few of these. The box frame for the bed had smeared with something brown and gross and the room had a rank odor that drove the Mrs. Out into the hall. Upon further, examination, we realized there was no AC and the windows were cracked open for ventilation. So now I had a stinky, gross, unsafe road noise filled room! Went to front desk. The initial response from the hotel desk clerk was no refund due to it being less than 48 hrs before deadline. They offered us another ground floor room. Mostly same condtions. Finally got them to refund the price minus a fee and told us that we had to get the money back from ******* because we paid *******.
  • Guest：Our stay at The Hoban Hotel was very comfortable. The bed was just right, and the shower was superb! I would recommend to the hotel that they install stronger fans to reduce the humidity in the bathroom, and to discourage smokers from smoking right outside the building (our window was open and someone at the front entrance sent smoke right up into our room). The staff were very friendly and we appreciated the excellent Continental breakfast options.
  • Guest：This hotel was fine, but a ways outside of town and located next to a shopping mall. Set up for business conventions. But the room was spacious, bed comfortable and a good shower. A bit noisy but our room was right above the front door.
