water from tap brown as tea… we were not even warned to expect such upon checkin Pool not working, green water a very bad sight brick paving to the entrance very uneven, high risk of tripping/falling vodacom signal not available. should have warned us so we make alternate connection arrangements before we arrived.
The staff were friendly and enthusiastic with their service. The room was spacious, with good-quality linen, and the bed was spacious and comfortable. The green pool and 4 course meal was underwhelming.
my wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary recently and we decided to have a night away from the norm and budmarsh definietly did not dissapoint. From the receptionist to the porter, barmen and chef everything was more than 5 star. Well done and thank you for spoiling us.
Mooi gelegen hotel, naar wij begrepen vooral gebruikt voor conferenties. Wij waren hier de enige gasten. Het hotel is wat ouder, wel goed onderhouden, al gold dat niet voor de airco in onze kamer. Deze maakte zoveel lawaai dat we een andere kamer kregen. De kamer was niet luxe, wel ruim en schoon. Jammer dat we voor het diner alleen maar konden kiezen voor een viergangenmenu. Wel logisch gezien de geringe bezetting. Prima voor een nachtje ter overbrugging van de reis van de ene naar de andere lodge. Vriendelijk personeel.
Budmarch is a charming little hotel in Magaliesberg. While it’s an older property, it is kept very clean and is extremely comfortable. The service was exceptional – the staff were attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. What stood out most was the tranquillity: despite the hotel being fully booked for a conference, all I heard outside were birds and crickets. I spent most of my time in the sun, enjoying the peace and quiet – a true escape from the city. This is an excellent spot if you’re looking for rest, relaxation, and attentive hospitality. I’ll definitely return.
