Excellent room, facilties, host, breakfast and location. Warm welcome from Andrew. Nothing was too much trouble. Good food and beer from the Barrell pub next door. Plenty of hikes, all abilities from the doorstep. What else do you need???

Excellent accommodation, very high standard of everything, amazing breakfast and the beds were so comfortable. They could not do enough for us and we would highly recommend a stay at Bretton Cottages, will definitely be returning to this hidden gem. Great pub next door too

Stayed at Bretton Cottage in early August for 3 nights. The room was clean and comfortable. Room 1 is a good size, with a large bed, settee, fridge and a kitchenette. The breakfast offer is a sensible choice of healthy and tasty foods. Generally, the feeling is this cottage is efficiently run, with everything in place for travellers. Andrew and Karen deserve to be proud of this cottage. The view, from one of the highest points in the Peak District, is beautiful.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my partner for my birthday and it was a perfect stay. The room was large (we stayed in the ground floor room) with a lovely seating area, kitchenette and bathroom. Everything was spotless and everything large, shower could have fit 3 people in and you needed a map from one side of the bed to the other as it was so big and so so comfortable with luxury bedding. Plenty of storage space with drawers and wardrobe with plenty of hangers. The host Andrew was welcoming and polite and provided us with a lovely fresh breakfast every morning, there is plenty of choice and all local produce. Tea/coffee and milk replenished daily and the views from the cottage were breathtaking. There is a pub directly next door which serves delicious food, good drinks and friendly staff. There are lots of local villages to visit and easy assessable by foot or car, the 2 closest are Eyam approx 3miles away and another approx 1mile. Ideal for walking and sightseeing, will definitely return, absolutely perfect in every way.

I stayed for 2 nights. The locations is very nice at the top of Peak District. Great views over the Derbyshire, with nice sunsets. Room is clean and well supplied. Breakfast is superb with a variety of choices.
