Villa Room # P3 ~ 1 x Night Stay ~ Booked via *********** 1st ever Stay here and disappointed that we paid for a Room with a Lake Water View but did not get to see the Lake from inside our room - we only looked out onto 4 other rooms!! We did not get a Bath either which we had hoped for. The rooms smelled Musty and look old and grubby.... Noisy in the evening from some nearby Karaoke Bar and other guest talking. We found the Bed hard ( not relaxing ) and the pillows were useless for support! Breakfast was AMAZING...... Set outside by the Lake a lovely selection of Hot Thai foods and Omelettes cooked to your likings. All staff Interactions were FANTASTIC. Would most likely go somewhere else next time passing thru Phayao as I would say it was OVERPRICED for what you get at B2,000 a night.
The resort is on the border of the large lake. Access is from the main road through a narrow road. On the opposite side there is a 7-11. There is ample parking space. Reception is friendly and efficient. They sell beer and soft drinks. There are sets of rooms in different categories, we chose, for one night, the cheapest option. This is one of a set of connecting rooms. Size is big enough, there is a nice bathroom and everything is clean and modern, There is a fridge and a table, no proper desk but the table can function as such. WiFi works very well. The room is not exactly sound proof, so your sleep quality will depend on the neighbors. But after midnight it seems to be quiet, and then it is indeed very quiet. There is a breakfast restaurant, but they also serve breakfast outside by the pool, maybe depending on occupancy. There is buffet with enough choice and the seating by the lake is nice. All in all very good value for money.
Nice spot on the water, but the upkeep of the property has not been done. It's not as pictured. Please note the nice looking pool as pictured is only for a certain type of room you select. There is another pool for the other rooms. It's pictured with a nice cover. That doesn't exist.
everything was as shown on the website, which is rare. the place was immaculate and the staff could not have been better. so friendly and helpful even though i could not speak any Thai. it was great. if i come back to Phayao i will definately stay there.
