Brought in 2025 at this wonderful safari resort. After arriving a day later than expected due to an horrendous journey, Annie and her team gave us an exceptional warm welcome. This is a dream place to stay, from the fabulous freshly cooked, very tasty food to the unusual, comfortable accommodation. The rooms are all detached and made to look like large tents. They are clean and very comfortable with everything you need even down to wifi, tea making facilities and beautiful soft fluffy towels. Something a bit different is the outside shower which I loved. Don’t worry it is very private with a wooden fence at head height going all the way around it. The staff are the loveliest of people, so helpful and friendly. If you are wanting to go on some other activities then don’t worry, Annie is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful; she will discuss the varied outings that are available and book you onto the ones you want to do. The stars for me though are the animals, from zebra & giraffes to hyena and even leopards. There is a high viewing tower where you can see elephant and hippo as well as listening to the lions roar in the background. It is a true privilege to observe wild animals in their natural habitat. I could go on and on, however I will end by saying if you want a great holiday, observing and experiencing Africa’s wonderful wild animals in a safe, friendly and comfortable accommodation then go to Kingfisher Creek Private Nature Reserve, you won’t be disappointed. My 5* happy place.

Nous avons passé quelques jours au Kingfisher Safari Lodge cet été. Le lodge est extrêmement confortable. Annie est une h?te chaleureuse, attentionnée et très professionnelle. La cuisine est excellente et le service irréprochable. Annie nous a organisé des safaris qui nous ont ravis. Un des convives était coeliaque et des préparations sans gluten ont été confectionnées à chaque repas. Nous recommandons sans réserve ce lodge et nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir.

Excellent location in a private reserve. Security is top-notch and felt at home at Kingfisher Creek Cottage. Annie assisted with arranging a night game drive. Our guide Joe knows the area very well and went out of his way to find the game. Friendly, well-behaved dogs. Thank you for an excellent stay. Will definitely return when back in the area.

Kingfisher Creek Safari Lodge was AMAZING! It was difficult to know where to book in this area and I couldn't have selected better. Annie is a world class host and the staff are wonderful. The lodge was clean, the amenities were top notch, the food was divine. Annie helped us book all of our activities including transfers and curated meals around our plans. The grounds are beautiful, all her products, lodging and food are high quality and I dream to return. A beautiful stay all around.

What a lovely stay we had. The owners are lovely and looked after us very well. The rooms were 100% clean, and the outside shower was lovely. The food was also very good and we enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you, John and Annie,

Just one night but it was lovely. We were greeted by two staff and three very sweet dogs. The accommodations were spotless and comfortable. The highlight was being treated to an amazing fire in the evening. Annie was a super friend host. We would return without hesitation.

Kingfisher Creek is a phenomenal lodge with the best staff you could ask for. We felt extremely welcomed and looked after through the entirety of our 4 night stay. Annie was so kind, friendly, and beyond helpful in arranging and organising all of our activities and went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great stay. There's a reason she has been called superwoman; it's abundantly clear that Annie takes great pride in her job, the lodge, and making sure her guests feel at home. The location is great and close enough for arranging game drives and excursions in nearby areas such as nearby big 5 reserves, Kruger National Park, and Blyde. But we also enjoyed the guided walk within the reserve and being shown the different tracks left behind by animals like impala, giraffe, and hyenas. The accommodation is fabulous and has everything you need to feel comfortable. Our room was perfect for a couple. The outdoor shower was also a real highlight. Everything was conveniently close to the main restaurant, lounge, and pool; despite being in the room closest to the lobby, we still felt like we had enough privacy. It was a dream to also hear lions and hyenas calling during the nights. The food cooked by Nikiwe was spectacular - she truly is a talented chef and it genuinely felt like 5 star dining. We were amazed each night and at each breakfast with the choices, quality of food, and felt contently well fed every day - there was not a single night where we went to bed hungry! Additionally, Annie and Nikiwe pulled out all the stops to cater for a vegan dietary requirement for one of us, which was really appreciated. All of the wait staff were also wonderful and added to the enjoyable experience we had. The setting is cosy with an open fire, surrounded by bush, seeing monkeys and Nyala every day, and it felt surprisingly remote which we loved. We wish we could keep it as our own little hidden gem, but it would be too selfish to not recommend staying at Kingfisher! We were incredibly relaxed the whole holiday and when you visit for yourself, you'll really get to see what made us fall in love with Kingfisher Creek. It's not to be missed and once you're there we're sure you won't want to leave! We will certainly be coming back many many more times in the future (we started planning our next visit before we'd even left)! Thank you Annie & all of the Kingfisher staff! Super herzlicher Empfang durch Annie. Obwohl kein vegetarisches Essen vorbestellt war, wurde ganz spontan ein sehr leckeres Gericht für meine Tochter und mich gezaubert. Service total nett. Unser Familienzelt war riesig und toll eingerichtet. Mit Outdoor Dusche! Würde jederzeit wieder hinfahren! Wegweiser / Beschilderung an der Hauptstra?e fehlen. Einzigstes Manko

Great place. The "tents" are super, fresh, modern and well looked after. Tent is a misnomer, they are really cabins with solid walls clad with canvas for aesthetic reasons. First time I have stayed in a tent with a tiled bathroom! Food was wonderful and service was fantastic. Annie the owner, could not do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble. It is a long way from the paved road (10km of dirt road and then 5 km of dirt track) but don't let the put you off it is worth it.
