Don’t think this hotel was the best choice for the following reasons:- - terrible location in regard to the whale shark watching (1hr 50 journey) - Not in a nice place for tourists. On main road with no pavement and not nice to walk around (shanty like) - Although the property is amazing historically, we found it quite depressing. It won’t have helped with the weather we had but at other hotels you would have the option to go to a bar/pool etc. All this property had was a very old fashioned library ! - When we were at the whale sharks place in Donsol we had lunch at a hotel 100yds away which sat on the beach front and was superb. It only cost an extra ￡6 per night more than Casa Simeon ! Donsol also looks a better town to be able to walk around. Pro’s: The staff were lovely and very helpful I realise we should have checked this out more thoroughly BUT we assumed it was the only property near the whale spotting venue.

We ate lunch here and had an amazing time sampling their heirloom recipes and various Bicolano dishes. Lovely ancestral home with lots of history, but it did not feel stuffy or pretentious. Staff were polite. Mayon view from the patio was great.

Excellent accueil! Ce petit h?tel est un manoir familial parfaitement rénové et entouré d’un joli jardin, avec parking. Le restaurant offre une nourriture délicieuse. Adresse de charme!

A hidden gem in the middle of Bacacay Great views of Mount Mayon and a very comfortable place to stay and discover this beautiful part of Albay in Bicol province. Charming rooms, amazing and very helpful service. Very quaint and traditional dining experience.

Wow! What a beautiful house! We stopped off here on a motorbike trip to Caramoan. Although not the easiest place to find being in the middle of a small town, it is very much worth the trouble! Plenty of secure space to park our motorbikes, magnificent views of Mayon Volcano, friendly, efficient staff and comfortable rooms. The meals were copious and delicious - definitely go for the local specialities of Bicol Express and Laing, and in the morning the omelette was really top notch. The building, a restored ancestral home, is magnificent and so well kept.
