I do not recommend this hotel.
First the Panoramic Pyramid Room actually has a small view of pyramid to the side. See my photos of the actual view (no pyramids) and the side view (some pyramid view). I also attached a photo from the rooftop restaurant showing there are two buildings in front of this hotel in the direction of the pyramids which means no room would really have that view. The listing photo is photoshopped. The rooftop has a good view of the pyramids though.
Upon arrival to Egypt, our uber asked us why we decided to book in this area. It is very close to the pyramids but not a good area. We also found that every uber we called asked for $10-$40 extra in cash. It took 5-6 tries before getting a normal uber. Did not feel safe.
Hotel management has poor service. The worst hotel management we had in Egypt. Other guests in the lobby were also complaining and not happy.
The shower hot water only lasts for one person. If you are a couple, the second person has to wait or you have to take fast showers. Breakfast is average.
This all said, if you want a clean 2-3 star room near the pyramids, don’t pay for the view, and don’t deal with the front desk, it’s fine.
My stay at Mamluk Pyramids Hotel was very pleasant. The hotel is clean, cozy, and beautifully designed with an authentic Egyptian touch. The staff were polite, helpful, and made me feel comfortable. The room was tidy and quiet. The location is perfect for visiting the Pyramids and nearby attractions. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special stay in Cairo.
Everything is great. Good locations to visit the Puranas. Just right outside the pyramid entrance. The view from the roof top is magnificent. Food was average.. but it’s edible. However, the only thing I like to mentioned is the amenities in the room isn’t too complete. We booked 2 rooms and Some of the rooms come w table lamp but the other doesn’t. Some of the room comes w plugs but another has no plugs at all so we request for a change of rooms. Couldn’t charge my phone or I have to sacrifice the Tv ??. So we asked for a change of rooms They also do not have hairdryer in the room and you need to ask for it. Of course they are very kind people but it’s just a hassle for customers. Another issues we encounter is the poor wifi connectivity and that gets into our nerves. Basically is weak connection thus it gets cut off or totally couldn’t locate the room number at all. Besides, room was comfortable and staff was very helpful and kind. I guess it’s consider a very good place to stay despite those little issues.
