Lovely meal and very dog friendly with a cosy atmosphere. Our Server Jack was friendly and attentive. He was also helpful with food recommendations and offered our dog a bowl of water, which was much appreciated.

Location was good food over rated and over priced rooms not good for price bed hard and music can be herd from down stairs until late not good if you want to sleep

A good size bedroom with a' Postage Stamp' size bathroom which in my view was deplorable. On lifting the toilet seat the pan contained excrement and toilet paper. The pan had a black stain where the content left the pan, if you were lucky. The seat was unstable. The shower had black mold stains on the sealant. The entire room should be extended and refurbished. A disgusting room.

Less than a 10 minute drive to the center of town. Easy to get to and parking was great! Beds were really comfortable and the rooms are modern and clean. Breakfast was delicious as well. There was a tiny bit of road noise but but it was not enough to disturb our sleep. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area!

Superbe pub situé à 30 mins à pieds du centre ville de Canterbury, accessible tout droit en descendant la rue. Le rapport qualité prix est irréprochable avec des prestations de qualité et un cadre intérieur superbe, un jardin et un parking gratuit. Le petit-déjeuner était excellent, très copieux avec des produits de qualité.

Stayed here for a weekend, food was great. Chris, Jack and the rest of the team were fabulous Would highly recommend as a great base when visiting the area.

Great stay. We stayed at the Old Gate Inn for three nights, ate there on two of them. All dinners and breakfasts were presented well and tasty. All staff were friendly and attentive. Thanks for a great weekend.

Had a great weekend stay. Staff were very attentive & Chris was very helpful & Ryan served us most of the weekend and was very polite & helpful.

This is probably one of the worst nights sleep I have ever had in a hotel room. When we arrived and we were shown to our room, the door was wide open and we were informed the bathroom door might be 'tacky' as it had been painted. What was not mentioned was when you closed the door there was an over powering smell of paint. The sash window in the bedroom had been propped open by a roll of toilet paper and a fan had been left in the room to dry the paint. We didn't have time to do anything about it as we were going to the T20 at the cricket ground, and this pub is great location for this, but when we arrived back to the room it was still awful. It wasn't the pubs fault that it was an incredibly hot night but because of the smell of the paint we couldn't shut the window and the fan for drying the paint wasn't really adequate to cool the room down. We therefore endured a horrific night with the sound of cars screeching along the road like a grand prix circuit and ending up with eyes watering and dry throats from the smell of the paint. We got up and left at 6.45 am when we couldn't stand it any longer. There was nobody around to see guests out at this time. We had to leave the key in our room and escape to freedom through the 24 hour accessible door. For this experience I paid ￡135 and sadly I won't be back despite the fact it's a great location. I would hope the management of this pub respond to me appropriately, this was not fit for purpose at all.

Excellent couple of nights at the Old Gate Inn. Easy to find and plenty of available parking. Friendly staff. Perfect room. Great evening meal on arrival. Delicious breakfasts perfectly cooked. Great for the Winters Barn wedding venue.
