Hey, I'm sorry about the experience you had while you were in the hostel. Although, I wanted to clarify some things. The room does not smell of smoke as we are strictly a non-smoking hostel. We also have air fresheners in every room. There was a blanket on your bed, you obviously didn't realize that, it was simply tucked into the bed, in the usual way a bed is made when you stay in any hostel or hotel. We found it untouched. Unfortunately we had to do some urgent maintenance on our piping for the other shower and it was out of order for 24 hours, sorry got you in bad timing as you're staying for 1 night only with us. We now have both our showers functional again. These two showers are shared amongst 8 people so it's never usually a problem. Also we are just a small hostel and just have one receptionist who was busy cleaning when you arrived you can simply ring the bell in reception to get her attention. Nevertheless, enjoy the rest of your trip in the Philippines.
