Fab stay. From the moment I arrived, Alan gave a warm welcome and looked after me for the duration of my stay. No idea how he remembers everyone’s name, but he does and he chats with everyone as if they’re friends, whilst ensuring we’re all being well looked after. Fresh, clean room plus attentive, efficient and friendly service made it a great experience. I would have no hesitation in recommending. Thank you to Alan and team. I will definitely return.
Restaurant was closed in the evening so had to go elsewhere for a meal. Room booked for 2 people, only 1 bath and 1 hand towel supplied. No extra pillows in room. No USB sockets in room(take your 3 pin plug). Feel disappointed by this. However did have a good cosy sleep.
We were looking forward to spending a quiet night in this Premier Inn for Hogmanay (New Years Eve). We also go away for the bells and it’s usually the PI at Loch Lomond but we fancied a change this year. The hotel was easy to find, car park could be bigger and the spaces more roomier but we parked up fine. The check in was easy and there was staff on hand to help if needed. We dumped our bags and headed out without really checking the room, big mistake. This was mainly due to Irresponsible parents allowing their kids to run up and down the corridors screaming and knocking doors while they enjoyed the peace and quiet !!! After being out for dinner we returned to the hotel and realised the heating controls on the wall weren’t working. There was a plug in radiator that was more suited to a smaller room. Not an issue as the PJ were on and the PI duvets are great. We were closing the curtains and noticed black mould, stains of some sort and cobwebs all around the windows. Bit concerning to say the least. The dressing table veneer was coming away at the front and the wall beside my son’s bed was needing a clean and a coat of paint. Then to top it all off we realised that the extractor fan in the bathroom wasn’t switching itself off, even with the light off. We looked to see if there was a switch to turn it off but there wasn’t so it ran all through the night. The closed door muffled it but you could still hear it and whenever anyone went to the bathroom through the night everyone was wakened again. We also had what had to be a Highland dancer up above as, either that or a tap dancer or baby elephant. The noise was ridiculous, especially at 3am. In the morning having a shower there were definitely more than a few stray hairs that didn’t belong to us. We did mention the fan when checking out and the young girl did apologise but didn’t help a restless night by us all. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again which is a shame as the staff were so nice, maybe not the cleaners though. I know they have to have a quick turn around but you pay for a clean room and that’s what you should get.
Great hotel in an ideal location. Staff are great and really helpful. Manager attentive and helpful. Shout out to the cook who did a great job under difficult circumstances. This is premier inn everyone not a 5 star restaurant...food was lovely.
We’re sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations on this occasion. Thank you for your feedback and we do hope to welcome you back again for a more positive experience.
The location is miles from the city near industrial estates. Only one oven in the kitchen was working and they were short staffed which meant myself and the other guests had to wait 90 minutes for our meals. Despite that the manager was friendly and did his best for us.
Room is of typical Premier Inn interior setting but it is showing its age and condition is not optimal. The room we got had a faulty card reader that can’t keep lights on, receptionist disinterested of our plight. Eventually one of the staff was kind enough to attend to us and temporarily fix the issue by lodging several cards in to keep the card reader casing in place and lights on, but could see the agony on her face that the whole building is just old and badly needed maintenance. Hope the management does something about it!
Stated here for one night before heading to the airport. The room is comfortable and has everything you need. The beds were comfy. Location is slightly our of the way from everything. There is a chain restaurant across the road from hotel. When I arrived the bins at the front of the hotel were over following and rubbish lying everywhere, which wasnt a good impression to start off with. However it was comfortable for the night and would stay again.
