Located at 10 hrs drive from Delhi, this is a plush holiday property Pros + soothing view of the Kumaoni Himalayas landscape, from Trishul to Nanda Khat + nicely done and plush cottages with heated mattress, large French windows, independent seating areas And large bathrooms + prompt room service with cooperative staffs + nice spread of Kumaoni food and local delicacies + slew of activities, including a hike to the waterfall below or simply lazying out soaking in the Himalayan views Cons - bit far from Delhi, Nd reaching the place is a bit exhausting since you need to avoid the main paved highway due to the traffic snarls caused by the Kainchi Dham visitors. Dhanachui route is broken and patchy - pls ask the resort manager to double check the antecedents of local taxi drivers, as our one was drunk and it's a risk - local destinations require you to walk Suggestion :- Go for the Pine duplex cottage near the Diner

Spent the weekend in a 100-year-old Kumaoni stone cottage where the view walked right into the room. The delicious food was grown, cooked, and served with love. And just when I thought that was enough — there was a secret waterfall tucked inside the forest, a short but wild hike away.

We received stayed at Itmenaan Estate and had a wonderful stay. On arrival we were greeted with such a warm welcome. Hospitality here is truly top notch. The property itself is a heaven of peace. The rooms are so comforting. Room heater and bed heater make is cozy. It was the ideal place to disconnect and recharge amidst nature. Views from cottage is amazing. And every meal here was fresh, flavourful and served with love. Staff were so polite and helpful. Service was great. Overall it was the perfect stay.

Have you ever stayed in a place so beautiful you don't want to share it with anyone? This is that place. The staff are lovely, the food is delicious, the rooms are stylish and elegantly appointed and the view of the Uttarakhand Himalayas stretching before you as you eat a leisurely lunch on your private terrace is sublime. I had a wonderful time exploring the gorgeous Kumaon Hills hiking to mysterious temples through cedar forests and discovering lovely mountain villages. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. I loved every single second of my stay here. The only drawback was having to leave!

It has been sometime that I went there with my family. I took two rooms as we are a couple with two young boys. But as the picture shows rooms are adjacent & not connected at all. Then it is an old construction so the level of rooms & washrooms & outdoor area is not same. So my kid fell down & got hurt . I asked them for first aid kit but they do not have any. It was evening time so could not get it from around. The lady manager told me they have to get it from Haldwani. Food is average. Very basic property. Avoid this property if possible. Now there are a lot of better properties in vicinity. I travelled almost five years back. Did not review at that time but recently visited a property in neighbourhood so decided to review.

It's probably 5 or 6 years past its prime but it just doesn't fail to live up to its name. The setting makes sure of that. Then Bhavna and team make sure that you are well taken care of, but in a non-intrusive way. Remember, Itmenaan? The food is fresh, the views are stunning and the staff is warm and would make your stay special. Just go with and for some Itmenaan.

Kumaon style cottage was next level experience to stay. Most tasty kumaoni food. Tracking with Himalayan views was ferry tale. Amazing . Volvo, Good service isn't hard out, amazing service is rare. Thank you for providing incredible services. Trek was amazing Shaunak

A must go place for someone who loves spending time outside the city in the woods and engaging with activities like trekking, bonfire, outdoor picnics, bird watching and more ! The staff took such good care of us throughout the stay ! A must visit place!!

We returned after 6 years to find Thikalna small house and our cottage on the main estate, Deodar Cottage, were just as beautiful and well-appointed as on our previous visit in 2018, if not even better. We stayed 2 nights at Deodar and it was so lovely! My husband did a fair bit of walking but I mainly enjoyed the view and the wildlife. The food is great. We mainly had veg Indian but their were other choices on offer and Amit, the manager, offered us a change so we had Chinese one night. Thikalna is a small house where we stayed 1 night. You get a different Himalayan view here. Thikalna may have electricity soon - however Shivraj and Ramesh cooked us a lovely meal and we tucked ourselves up with the hot water bottles they provided, then awoke to the amazing view and a cup of chai. You need to be fairly sprightly to cope with the short walks to both properties - but if you are you’ll be rewarded by an amazing stay. We’re in our 70s and managed fine. The dahi (yogurt) and meusli we had for breakfast at the main house were just superb!
