The staff were lovely and did their best to be extremely helpful. The room was spacious and spotless and the breakfast was perfectly adequate. Tho location was just right for us and we were very happy with this hotel.

Just returned from All inclusive at Club Armaralis. After reading the reviews we didn't expect much though we have stayed in Praia Da Rocha a few times before so was using this hotel as a base camp for its prime location. We had a shock as for a cheap 3* hotel we had a fantastic stay! Food was fresh and tasty and a good selection. Drinks were perfect serving from 10am to 11pm. Room was large with a spacious balcony with sea view. Staff are friendly and extremely hard working. The pool bar staff are very friendly, especially Bruna who made our stay so welcoming and is a real asset to this hotel..She has a genuine infectous smile. For 3 stars and the price we paid this hotel was more than value for our money!

Stayed here the last week in Oct (English half term) , travelling with Easyjet Holidays, and I honestly think it marks incredible value for money. This will depend what you want from a holiday. If you like a big hotel with a bust bar of a night time, where you can meet people and watch entertainment then this is not the hotel for you. However, we had an amazingly quiet and relaxing holiday. All the staff worked hard and were friendly. Our room was on the 9th floor, with a pool view and was massive! You get a kitchenette, with fridge freezer (forgot to look to see if there were pans), a large lounge diner with sofa, dining table, balcony on end with table and chair. Then there was a separate bedroom, with a shutter that meant it was properly dark. Plus a bathroom (grey suite!), shower over bath but good power and plenty of hot water. Given the time of year we were there having all that space to rest in was important to us. the balcony got afternoon sun so whilst there were people around the pool (no issue getting a sunbed if you wanted one!) I was content to sit on the balcony. There is a pool bar and then in the evenings the bar is to one side of the restaurant. There are a few high chairs for the bar but it wasn't really a bar you would sit and drink all night in. We ate in the restaurant all week with my husband absolutely raving about the food! For me it was adequate but he loved it; quite different tastes! Breakfast was excellent; usual continental and hot choices -apparently the sausages and bacon were particularly good! Really lovely fresh bread and pastries. Lunch and dinner had two fish choices, a meat dish, vegetables, salad, soup, pasta and a particularly good cake selection. I enjoyed fresh prawns on Portuguese night! Other nights I had fish fingers and chicken nuggets but I didn't starve! Husband enjoys meat and two veg so he was very happy! Drinks were great; you get a leaflet on check in that lists all the includeds. Gin and tonic, vodka tonic, beer, red wine and irish cream all hit the mark for us. For what we paid the hotel gave good quality. Choice is limited, as you might expect for a small complex. If you were a strict veggie you might struggle. The location of the hotel is excellent, just one block back from the promenade/main strip. You pass a mini mart on your way up the slope. Down the steps at the top by the ice cream stand to get to a wooden deck that runs all the way along the beach. makes for good running and walking out for coffee and people watching. The beach is stunning. We had a very restful, relaxing week away, which is exactly what we wanted. Expect a three star small hotel and you won't be disappointed!

A great hotel which the staff make amazing. Great location, close to shops, restaurants, beach, bars and entertainment. Stunning walk along the beach to the port. Hotel was really clean, the rooms were surprisingly big with a kitchen area, a dining area, lounging space, bedroom, bathroom and balcony. Shutters on the bedroom window really helped keep the room cool. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, working very hard especially Vita, Yulia, Joao and Lucas. These guys did not stop. The pool area was relaxing and there was plenty of sunbeds regardless of the time of day. The food was nice, it could feel repetitive but there was a choice of two different meats, two different fish plus either a bolognaise or meatball dish everyday so unless you eat all of it on each day then there was definitely enough choice to have something different each day. There was also two different soups, salads, kids food like pizza, chips, fish fingers and nuggets. Twice a week was bbq night which was great, especially as a meat lover. The snack bar served burgers, hotdogs, pastries, rolls with cheese and meat, crisps and ice cream. This is somewhere we would definitely return to and look forward to it.

We will keep this review honest & short: this hotel has to be the most outdated and non atmospheric place we have ever experienced. Rooms are big but consist of old tatty wooden furniture, definitely in need of an upgrade. Food was boring with the exception of breakfast which was edible. The restaurant bar consisted of 4 tables/ chairs only. Non residents passing through to use gym which we think was sub- let facility.Staff tried their best to crack a smile. Entertainment was non existent with only music being played around pool area. As frequent travellers this hotel has to be the worst AI we have experienced so definitely wouldn’t recommend or return to

Firstly this is a three star hotel and as such was fine, we read the reviews so knew there was no entertainment and that the rooms were old fashioned , we wanted an inexpensive break in a good position which this hotel is. As reported the rooms are old fashioned but very big and spotlessly clean , the communal areas are more modern . Food was ok , we didn’t starve , we did eat out some days as we explored the area and ate lunch out . We didn’t particularly like the resort though there are a few nice bars , but went to Lagos and Silves which are beautiful and Portmaio is within easy reach. We went on the Bengali cave trip which was fantastic , book through the hotel so picked up ( 5€ extra but worth it ) I think some people have unrealistic expectations of a hotel of this class. We knew exactly what we were getting , it was good value . The main thing we would have liked would be an indoor lounge bar to relax in an evening .

En Portimao, muy cerca de Praia da Rocha se encuentra este apartahotel. La ubicación es muy buena aunque para aparcar sin pagar parking quizás tengas que andar unos metros, pero no demasiados. La playa está realmente cerca y el paseo hasta la misma es agradable y concurrido. El hotel se ve algo antiguo pero bien mantenido, las habitaciones son grandes, limpias y cómodas. Tiene una piscina estupenda. En general si ser un sitio excelente mer parece muy bueno y para repetir si vuelvo a Portimao.

La ubicación excelente, la propiedad más o menos, el apartamento que nos tocó es amplio pero es viejo, todo es como de los 80’s, un aire acondicionado que solo da en la sala, al cuarto casi no llega el AC, el ba?o ok, viejo, a rescatar buena presión del agua de la ducha, el aseo más o menos, no nos cambiaron las toallas y además cuando llegamos al cuarto habían unas cuantas pesta?as postizas en el piso en diferentes partes, terrible que a pesar de que pedimos 2 veces que por favor no apagaran el aire acondicionado igual lo hicieron y además abrían la ventana y se entraba el olor a comida de alguien que cocinaba muy espaciado y con olor muy fuerte, el desayuno buffet bueno, todos los días lo mismo pero rico

Wij hebben genoten van een heerlijk verblijf bij Club Amarilis. Al bij aankomst aan het eind van de ochtend konden we direct onze kamers in – een fijne start van de vakantie! Het appartement was ruim (twee kamers) met een badkamer met bad en een keuken. De airconditioning in de woonkamer zorgde ook voor enige verkoeling in de slaapkamer. De inrichting is wat gedateerd, maar degelijk, met prima losse bedden die erg comfortabel lagen. De dagelijkse schoonmaak was keurig verzorgd. Het eten was van goede kwaliteit en er was voldoende variatie. Je kunt zelf kiezen wat je opschept, en lege schalen werden snel aangevuld. Het personeel was uitermate vriendelijk: lege borden werden snel afgeruimd en tafels werden na gebruik direct schoongemaakt. Twee keer per week was er een lekkere barbecue. De poolbar was dagelijks open vanaf 10.00 uur, met een ruim aanbod aan drankjes binnen het all-inclusive arrangement. Tot 23.00 uur kon je hier terecht. Ook waren er twee snackmomenten per dag: een laat ontbijt bij de poolbar in de ochtend en in de middag hamburgers, hotdogs en schepijs – allemaal netjes geserveerd door het personeel. Mooi groot zwembad. Met ligweide. Voldoende bedjes, dus reserveren niet nodig (en mag ook niet). Vijf dagen per week toezicht door een soort badmeester. De locatie is ideaal: dichtbij het centrum, bushalte en uitvalswegen. Parkeren op straat bleek lastig vanwege de drukte, maar gelukkig konden we een parkeerplaats huren bij het hotel voor de dagen dat we een auto hadden. Minpunten:?De wifi was ronduit slecht, zowel op de kamer als in de openbare ruimtes. Ondanks melding bij de receptie werd hier niets aan verbeterd. Daarnaast was de poolbar en bijbehorende terras met verlichting tijdens het diner (19.00–21.30 uur) gesloten. Drankjes waren dan alleen verkrijgbaar in het grand café van de eetzaal, wat minder gezellig was voor een borrel. Conclusie:?Ondanks enkele minpunten kijken wij terug op een zeer geslaagd verblijf met uitstekende service en een fijne sfeer. Aanrader!

First I wanna say the staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. The food is better than some 4*+ we have stayed at. Yes the rooms are dated but nice a big and always clean. The holiday was a quick get away and did just what it said on the tin. Don’t read the negative reviews the holiday is what you make it. Lastly. Would I go back, yes brilliant location and good value for money.
