Had a great time staying here. The place was nice and clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was so good and delicious. Definitely would stay here again. It was good walking to the beach and has many amenities, shops, and restaurants close by.

nous rentrons d une semaine du Rr club Amarilis ou nous avons passés une belle semaine.Le top la nourriture( variée et très bonne). Certains soir barbecue avec sardines super! Mais n oublions pas le personnel, qui est très aimable, aussi bien à l accueil qu au bar et restaurant. Certes, les chambres sont un peu vieillottes,mais elles propres et spacieuses.Nous avons appreciés le all inclusive j usqu' au moment du départ. nous pourrions revenir dans cet hotel sans problème. Je trouve dommage de lire certaines critiques qui ne sont pas justifiées,,,,

First time in Portugal and this was a great area to stay. Beautiful sandy beach, water was warm enough to swim in mid-October. Shops and restaurants are within 5-7 minutes walk from the hotel where you can find a lot of different souvenirs. If you continue walking for about 30 minutes, you will get to the light house and marina. I recommend visiting Fish museum and 3D Art museum, if you are with children. We have arranged Zoomarine and speed boat trip to caves via the hotel and it was reasonably priced. However, at the marina you can find many kiosks offering different tours and packages including pick up from the hotel. Zoomarine is fantastic and there is a lot to do even if you don't get to swim, We did not like the hotel, because it is not the best option for families with children: there was no entertainment. At the pool it was boring and the water was freezing. Pool is deep, but there is a small pool for younger children. Indoor pool belongs to the gym and costs extra, so we have not used it. Rooms are large and cleaned daily. Receptionists are very friendly. There is a luggage room and the safe in the room. There are 4 lifts, but probably get busy during the season. The food was not the best - try to eat if you can; glad we did not go for all inclusive. There are many decent places to eat around. Location: 5 stars Hotel and restaurant: 2 stars

The bad reviews of this place absolutely blow my mind. We've just returned from here (Oct 24), 2 adults and 4 children. The hotel is beautiful, clean, the rooms are dated but very comfortable and have absolutely everything you could need, they're cleaned frequently and we all were incredibly happy with them. The restaurant gets very busy, food choices are huge and constantly topped up with a massive variety of different options, the staff, if you spoke to them respectfully, which I'm assuming some didn't going by other reviews, were an absolute delight and always had a smile if you had one for them. We had some brilliant advice and chats with Nuno on reception, and thanks especially to Joao who was lovely, Gary in the kitchen, and Diago who we all really liked. There were a couple of staff who were a little impatient and grumpy but I put it down to our bumbling English ways rather than them Pool was beautiful, plenty big and deep enough for our 4 kids who didnt need daytime/nighttime entertainment, as we make our own fun and really can't think of anything worse than organised entertainment ?? Overall just a fantastic experience, and we are already looking forward to coming again next year. I just want to add for anyone with mobility issues like myself, the walk to the beach is approximately 5 minutes, I hired a mobility scooter there (which the hotel kindly let me leave in reception every day) the scooter manages the area ok, but plenty of places have no drop kerbs which is a slight issue. The beach itself has about 70-80 steps to get up and down, and while there is ramp access further down the strip on Praia da Rocha, my scooter couldn't handle the uphill so we spent every day on the smaller (and we thought much more beautiful) beach tres castelos. An amazing holiday, we didn't want to leave and will certainly return

This hotel is not as bad as some reviews say. Yes, it is an older hotel but it was well kept and clean. The rooms are huge, the beds comfy (but the pillows were well past their best). The kitchen was well equipped and the balcony on the 10th floor offered a view of the sea in the distance. The food was better than expected, yes it was not the hottest but there was a microwave available. The pool area really needed to be larger for the size of the hotel but was OK if you managed to get a seat actually in the sun. Location was good and the beaches were fantastic. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wi fi was brilliant.

Been to Praia da Rocha very many times in the past...Seven years since my last visit but it did not disappoint. Amarilis is very accessible to the main street with all the shops and the beach. We sometimes ate at the hotel which was quite adequate...Clean bedding and bathroom...absolutely spotless...

Have been coming here for years, and every year keeps getting better. Staff are always there to help. Ideally located 3 mins to the beach. 10 mins walk to bars and restaurants. 10 mins taxi ride to Alvour 1 hour from Faro Airport. We always do self-catering, but you can also do all-inclusive. Big dining area catering for all tastes.

Servi?o ótimo, colaboradores simpáticos e eficientes. Supera as expectativas para as 3 estrelas. Local das refei??es agradável com bufet adequado. Piscina agradável com bastantes espregui?adeiras e bar funcional. Apartamentos um pouco desatualizados. Colch?o das cama que encontrei a pedir reforma. Boa rela??o pre?o/qualidade!

Um hotel de 3 estrelas com servi?o e alimenta??o de 5 estrelas. Qualidade da comida e do atendimento de todo staff com os meus sinceros agradecimentos, a piscina sempre limpa e com uma boa área. A localiza??o do hotel está bem próximo à praia.

Tudo excelente desde o atendimento e simpatia dos funcionários da rece??o, a limpeza impecável, o jantar barbecue, ao pequeno almo?o, a piscina, tudo impecável parecia que estávamos e no conforto da nossa casa, voltarei com certeza a este hotel.
