Guest：Pros... Staff and service. Views are wonderful. Pools, lounging chairs. Beach access was not busy. Breakfast was included and many options. Nice place to walk around. Loved the pool villa with a private swimming area. Cons... Rooms were very nice but somethings were a bit dated/didnt work well (locks, doors). Sewer smell coming up from the toilet and shower drain. Guest：Merumatta is a former flagship resort at Senggigi, and the pool villa club was built 2000. It is very well maintained, and the service is superb. Positioned on the Senggigi beach, it is a great place for relaxing and sunbathing. It is also a great start point for tours to the gilis in north or south, as well as to the Rinjani mountain. The villa and its surroundings are clean. The villa is spacious and well maintained. The personell is attentive and ever-present when needed. One day our jacuzzi stopped working. 5 minutes after we told the receiption, a guy was on-site to repair it. At the same time, it must be mentioned that the facilities are a little worn down. A renewal would be appreciated. All in all, we had a great time and would absolutely recommend the Merumatta Pool Villa.: 2025-09-01

Guest：No Gymnasium or exercise facility. No mini bar in the room. No coffee pod machine in the room, not even a plunger and they refused to supply either. The pool at the Pool villas consistently carried leaf litter. Adding insult to injury, they have deliberately crippled WiFi calling on their Internet connection. When asked, they gave no reason for this. I emailed them about this and eight days later am still awaiting a response. I used the WiFi in the cafes in town to make WiFi calls. No other establishment I have stayed at in the last six months (about five) did this. The establishment is old and tired: I get the impression they're just waiting for an opportunity to knock it down and rebuild. 5 star? They're kidding. Maybe 25 years ago. Not now. The world has moved on and expectations have risen.: 2026-01-01
