Glorious family palazzo of gianpiero’s ancestors and family Gianpiero is a delightful and exemplary host The palazzo is beautiful, the breakfast area gorgeous and the location of the palazzo is in walking distance to many fine restaurants including one literally next door Breakfast is given attention to detail by gianpiero from the croissants (filled with Nutella or custard ), biscuits and pain de chocolat to savoury options yoghurts fruits and juices Nothing more delightful than to pass time dining with a morning breeze coming into the period decorated room The bedroom came with a queen and two single beds and a lovely and spacious shower The only problem was my cousin had trouble negotiating some of the stairs due a recent leg injury , but that is and was a common occurrence in much of the areas we travelled as most were in the old towns

Situato in centro a Modica bassa. Lungo una via trafficata, ma comunque poco rumorosa. Camera (la suite) molto spaziosa e arredata con mobili in stile. Sala colazioni spettacolare con soffitti affrescati. Colazione buona. Il titolare è un ragazzo giovane molto cordiale e preparato. Da consigliare.

The place is fantastic, in a old noble palace near one of the two major churches of Modica, location amazing and the view from the dining room is beautiful. The owner is super helpful and kind and the atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. Would definitely reccomend

Perfect place to stay when visiting Modica. Conveniently located close to Modica's old town and main attractions. The Palazzo itself is beautiful and well maintained by the family who owns it. They go out of their way to make you feel at home and give you helpful advice on what to do/see in Modica and surrounding areas. Stay here, you won't regret it!

Tijdens onze rondreis op Sicili?, 2 nachten in deze Palazzo verbleven. Als je voor de groene poort staat, zou je niet verwachten dat daar nog eens zo'n gebouw met patio verborgen zit. We werden er zeer vriendelijk ontvangen en ook wat verteld over de geschiedenis van de Palazzo. Zeer leuk verhaal, en het geeft op die manier wel iets extra. het palazzo is al 4 generaties familiebezit die baronnen zijn. Nu runt de kleinzoon de B&B de grootouders wonen op het gelijkvloers. Wij hadden de suite kamer, baronessa, met uitzicht op de Duomo. Een zeer mooie ruime kamer, prachtig plafond, authentieke meubels. Ook de ontbijtruimte authentiek. Dat heeft enerzijds allemaal zijn charme en geeft een bepaalde sfeer. Anderzijds boet je op een bepaalde manier wat in op comfort dat we in de huidige tijden gewoon zijn. Alles kraaknet, verzorgd. Ontbijt was gewoon goed, een klein buffet. Voor ons mocht dat wat meer / ruimer geweest zijn, maar we zijn niet met honger vertrokken. Leuk om er eens te verblijven, maar 2 nachten was voldoende. Qua locatie, middenin centrum Modica met veel gratis parkeergelegenheid voor de deur. Perfect uitvalsbasis om die kant van Sicili? te bezoeken.

Abbiamo dormito due notti in questo bellissimo palazzo storico. Perfettamente inserito nella parte storica di Modica. Arredi originali, camere affrescate e uno stupendo panorama dalla finestra. Il proprietario è stato gentilissimo e accogliente. Ci ha fornito consigli e indicazioni e ha vergente fatto di tutto per metterci a nostro agio. Bravo davvero.

I was delighted and blown away entering the building. It was like being part of a fairy story entering by the huge door in to the covered courtyard. The host was charming and friendly. Our room was huge and cool with thick walls which made it wonderfully quiet. The breakfast room, reached through a patio and up stairs fringed with fragrant jasmine, was full of family items and grandad appeared to show his ancestors. It was relaxed and friendly and I loved staying here. The location is good and although we only stayed for one night we were able to look around town and know we didn't have far to go back to our accommodation. Breakfast was extra and was good - especially the bread.
