We stayed one night en route to Hobbiton and liked it so much that we stayed another 2 later in our trip. Great location, and Cambridge is a relatively easy base to get to other places from. Beautiful decor throughout, nice finishings and really peaceful. It was very busy during our stay (around Christmas/NY) so a little wait for food/drinks but that’s to be expected. We had positive interactions with all hotel and restaurant staff. My only feedback is that the switches in the rooms have blue lights on them, which, for people that like a black-out room, can disrupt sleep. Hopefully an easy fix!

非常好的酒店，餐厅食物做的的很正宗，服务可以説是天花板级别的了，服务员职业素养是住过的酒店里属于一流的，就是行程匆忙，不然打算在这边多待几天

Fourth time unlucky. Poor service & quality. How has the bar menu shrunk and running out of the already small selection seems odd. We had to go and find staff to order a drink with a table booking on the veranda. Won’t be trying again.

Just had a 3 course meal at Clement’s for our anniversary. I don’t say this lightly, this entire experience was FAULTLESS! The most incredible plates of food we have had out in ages. Hit after hit of the perfect balance of flavours. Perfect amounts, well seasoned beautiful food. 5 stars! We had… Chicken croquettes to start/share. Eye fillet with peppercorn sauce delish potato and broccolini Duck breast, pickled cabbage and a herby and light dough boy Black Forest crème br?lée to finish Boy oh boy, what decadence and culinary expertise went into all of our meals tonight. Absolute perfection!

A ROYAL PALACE IN THE MIDST OF A COUNTRY TOWN My husband and I stayed at a place called The Clements Hotel which originated in the 18th Century at a town called Cambridge nestled at the South of Hamilton New Zealand. These are the merits that we found: 1. When checking in, guests are treated with smiles and a sparkling wine welcoming drink. 2. The rooms are small but cosy. 3. Having just undergone major refurbishing, this hotel looks brand new, with a great bar and a breakfast setting. 4. There is a beautiful English setting lawn with tables and chairs out the back. 5. It was a larte Carte breakfast and you really have to get egg Benedict with the very tasty cream sauce. 6. Heaps of free parking at the back. 7. Located at a Main Street Downtown, go walking and shopping. 8. Staff working at Reception, Rosie and Nicholas are very friendly, helpful and professional. We noticed that the breakfast staff Ruby and Grace were found to know how to smile and deliver excellent customer service. 9. Complimentary first-round of Mini Bar drinks and snacks and only payable when topped up. Demerits found: 1. Water pressure in the shower was not so good, for those like me who enjoy a high pressure steamy shower. The shower nozzle is intended to look high class but doesn’t quite meet my taste. 2. The shower door is not properly sealed to stop water getting through the glass door crack and onto the bathroom floor. ADVICE: Of course, you need to simply go there.

Both the hotel and service were fantastic. Bright, clean rooms, comfortable bed, great bathroom and modern tech (smart tv and power points with USB/C charging ports. Short drive to hobbiton also. The food at the hotel restaurant was great also.

What an amazing place to stay. The detail is impeccable in every part of the hotel. The decor is beautiful and the rooms are so great. The only thing I would comment on are he pillows. They weren't very comfortable.
