Nice, small property, owned and personally run by Col. Singh and his wife. Attention is paid to every single detail. Rooms are beautifully curated, so is the bar and dining hall. It resembles the officers’ mess of an army regimental centre. Food is fresh and tasty. Its quality can be gauged by the fact that the owners eat the same food every time. Staff is polite and helpful. Amit, the chef took extra care to provide gluten-free food to my wife in every meal. Nawab, the king-size German shepherd took loving cognisance of our presence. Overall, a memorable experience. Flip side: Bath accessories could be of better quality.
Charmante villa décorée avec go?t.
The place is lovely, well decorated, spotless, fabulous bathroom, well located within very easy access to the centre. What made the place even more special is the care and attention given to us by the owners. We loved it! We definitely recommend this place for your stay in Bikaner.
The immaculately restored family home and compound of the joival Commanding Officer Colonel Mahendra (retd) of the Indian 2nd Lancers, and former Presidential Body Guard, and his good wife. The 2nd Lancers proud history dates to Gardner's Horse & the raising of the regiment in 1809. Cavalry Villa is an oasis within hectic Bikaner, 2 minutes walk to Bikaner Junction train station, 10 minutes walk to Junagarh Fort and 10 minutes walk to Kote Gate into the old city. Within the old city's labyrinth of lanes is the Rampuria district of extraordinary red sandstone havelis. An excellent breakfast with the best cheese omelette, fresh juice & fruits is served in the dining room. And a most reasonably priced delicious evening Indian meal is available and recommended over the option of eating out. Tasty well priced grilled sandwiches were also provided on request at odd hours. And not to forget Nawab, the Colonel's best boy German Shepherd with whom one does not pick a fight.
Nice, well decorated place, very kind and helpful owners and staff. We had a fantastic time here. We got a lot of very good suggestions what to do and lots of interesting informations. We felt very welcomed. Definitely a place to recommend and to come back!
Best place to stay in Bikaner. An oase in the middle of the city. Nearby everything. All on walk distance. The couple who host Cavalry Villa is very attending and are most friendly people. Feels as home from home ! Dinerbuffet is delicious. Guest are sitting together at a long table in the classic dinningroom. Before dinning you can drink in the sittingroom for a chat with your fellow travellers or with the hosts. All very relaxing. Recommended
