Kiskadee Korner is a safe, clean and friendly property in the St Clair neighbourhood of Port of Spain. I felt so reassured by the staff’s friendly approach to ensuring a pleasant stay and of course my safety. I appreciated them being there for me late at night when my flight arrived, and also the WhatsApp number they had should I need anything. I really appreciated their communication prior to my arrival to ensure I had a seamless stay.
The dual gate system was also a comforting feature of the property, and I also really enjoyed the pool and the tranquility of the property. The pool was by far one of the cleanest pools I have ever enjoyed in all of my travels, and overall the property is pristine and beautifully appointed. The staff will also recommend a reputable transfer company for you should you need one, and I found their recommendation to be incredibly professional and safe.
I overall really enjoyed my stay at Kiskadee Korner and I would absolutely return and of course recommend to anyone wanting to stay in this beautiful and safe part of Port of Spain near shops and restaurants to enjoy.
I enjoyed being in a nice quiet environment. The room was very cozy but comfortable. I loved having access to many cable channels that allowed me to watch my sports. I loved the local flavor where rooms were named after local birds. Although it was a short stay I felt very much at home.
Kiskadee Corner est situé dans un quartier calme de Port Of Spain. Le grand jardin est très agréable et propose plusieurs tables pour prendre un repas à l'extérieur. Pas mal d'oiseaux dans le jardin pour les amateurs. La chambre est confortable et bien équipée. Pas de possibilité de cuisiner sur place car il n'y a qu'un micro onde dans la chambre. Piscine agréable. Le prix est attractif pour POS. Pour manger, il y a un grand choix dans le petit centre commercial à proximité : Aioli dont les salades et les sandwichs sont exceptionnels (un peu cher mais cela vaut la peine !), un Starbucks pour le petit dej, Sticky bones très bien pour des grillades. Par contre tout le process pré-enregistrement est lourd : je ne connais pas les problèmes de sécurité qui doivent être réels mais c'est pénible. Il faut demander l'autorisation pour presque tout sur place, assez pénible et le personnel ne se sent pas vraiment concerné et ne bénéficie visiblement d'aucune autonomie.
I had the pleasure of spending 4 nights at Kiskadee Korner during a visit to Port of Spain. Everything was wonderfully organised and exceptionally clean and the room was the best appointed that I've come across in a boutique (indeed any) hotel. Although I only needed to use the room for sleeping, it would have been quite possible to treat it as a studio apartment during a longer stay, as every possible requirement had been thought of and all the equipment in the kitchen/living space was of the highest quality. The room was decorated with great taste, bed linen was exceptional and the towels and pillows truly fluffy! Despite being close to the bustle of central Port of Spain, Kiskadee Korner is a haven of peace and tranquility set back along a private drive and I felt completely secure at all times either walking around the well-maintained grounds or relaxing poolside. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Kiskadee Korner for people on vacation, a business trip or looking for a longer than usual stay in Port of Spain.
Great pool side room
Having a pool side room was fantastic. Pool was clean and pleasant. Check in fine. Friendly/helpful staff. Security system is like Fort Knox ?? Just bare in mind if going on an early morning tour you may have to arrange with staff to set the gate to open as otherwise you're locked in between 11pm and 6am.
Basically a room not a hotel
Sign on entrance to property says Boutique Hotel. Neither of those words are correct.
Before arriving bombarded with messages and requests have never had anywhere else except Air BnB. Nobody at front desk for checkout or most of time.
'Hotel' was empty. On arriving room safe did not work and they would not fix it or move me to room with working room safe. Response was to have me unpack and setup and they would see the next day about another room. That never came and anyway would have required repacking.
At least at a short term rental there is a kitchen or something more than a room.
Great service, convenient bed & rest accommodation within a prime safe location. There were no issues, I occupied a single room, which came with a desk, television, microwave, fridge bed and bath along with a pool. The front desk personnel were very helpful and the location has a 2 gate security system which is personal to the guests.
