We stayed at the hotel as part of Richmond Holidays. The hotel staff were very welcoming and attentive, especially Vasilios - he has a brilliant sense of humour! Our bedroom was cleaned with towels/bedding replaced daily (apart from Sunday). One day the cleaner had left a bottle of pink cleaning solution in the bathroom - safety concern for children, although thankfully we're adults. I got back to my room another day to find my water bottle (that we'd been refilling), and a bottle of coke (which wasn't empty) had been taken. I'd suggest you hide all water bottles just in case! Breakfast had cold selection of foods, same everyday eg. yoghurt, croissant, bread to toast, cake, cereal, juice, fruit in syrup, and the hot selection wasn't the same everyday eg. fries, sausages, scrambled/fried egg, omelette. Lunch wasn't included (half-board) but there was a good selection at the Pool Bar. Our favs were cheese toasties with fries and the watermelon salad. Complimentary slices of melon after each meal. Staff were very accommodating to my AuDHD needs - staff set up our own table away from the main dining area so we could still enjoy our meal but just not with so many other people. Some days I'd feel able to eat in the main area and speak to new people and staff were able to lend the table out to other guests instead. Would recommend rash vests for the watersports. The Pythagorian evening trip was probably my favourite - Blue Street is much worth the visit although it's better in daylight. Make sure to do some stargazing on the beach sunbeds! WiFi isn't amazing and depends how close your room is to the reception area. We were room 103 and it was quite intermittent. Our lower-level room (cheapest option) didn't feel disadvantaged at all - perfect view of the sunset over the mountain in the distance. Doors have 3 options - mosquito new, see-through door, and black-out door. €3.50 for a sunbed on the beach (free at hotel pool), €1.50 for 1l bottle of water from the Pool Bar. Evening games at the Pool Bar varied and fun. Rock painting on the terrace - chilled afternoon activity and great leaders :) Would go again.
De ligging is erg afgelegen, je kunt er ook niet leuk wandelen. Hou daar rekening mee, zorg voor vervoer zodat je naar andere bestemmingen kunt. Het hotel zelf is oud. Wij hebben het gebruikt als uitvalsbasis om het eiland te verkennen, dan voldoet het. Hecht je erg aan luxe dan moet je hier niet zijn. Kamers zijn oke, bedden prima. Een aardig balkon alleen daar veel last van muggen en vliegen. Groot voordeel: met tien stappen sta je op het strand! En ook nog eens eenvoudig de zee in zonder scherpe stenen. Een grote plus voor het personeel, vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Amelia (als ik het goed schrijf) is een kanjer in de bediening. Dan een minder punt; het eten. Weinig variatie in diner, lange rijen wachtenden omdat er 2 koks op moeten scheppen bij het lopend buffet (?). Het eten is bijna altijd koud voor je aan tafel zit. Het ontbijt is helemaal zonder variatie. Ik kon gelukkig leven van wat kaas en brood. Tenslotte: het hotel is een "thuishonk" voor de Christelijke reisvereniging Richmond. Grote groepen komen daarnaar toe, waarbij ze een eigen programma hebben en veel onderling communiceren. De meerderheid van de gasten bestaat uit Richmond klanten. Ze staan niet echt open voor de overige mensen. Dat maakt er niet gezelliger op.
Worst food I have had on a holiday. Included meals were really poor quality, repetitive and little choice. Very stingy in many ways ie small portions, very poor quality and little protein, one very small serviette, no spoons on the table, only condiments were salt and pepper, nothing else. Constantly having to ask for more of things including more milk for the included drinks, one choice of fruit at dinner, usually watermelon. It wasn’t enjoyable or relaxing. Man on the reception usually sat on the terrace smoking and on his phone so had to go find him if you needed anything. Very unhelpful, refused to give me a plug for my bath even though I had specifically booked somewhere with a bath due to chronic illness pain. It all felt very stingy ??

Been here three times with Richmond Holidays, with two more booked. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly and the rooms are very well cleaned. The Richmond team are amazing, and have put on the three best holidays I have ever been on, hence at least two more to come. They are also very understanding and supportive if, like me, you are neurodivergent.
Struttura accogliente e curata, personale gentilissimo, atmosfera rilassata e famigliare. Camera: spaziosa e luminosa, dotata di tutti i comfort, incluse le zanzariere! Bagno un po' datato ma comodo, con grande mensola d'appoggio e sopratutto la vasca che scongiura l'allagamento! Cibo: colazione e cena a buffet. Soddisfatti, sopratutto dell'attenzione che ci è stata dedicata in quanto vegetariani. Non ci era mai capitato tanto zelo nel spiegarci ogni sera gli ingredienti e siamo rimasti soddisfatti dalle proposte. La formula "mezza pensione" non comprende le bevande a cena, lo specifico solo perché i cataloghi non lo menzionano e credo sia giusto saperlo. Posizione: la zona resta un po' isolata, sono raggiungibili a piedi solamente due taverne. Ammetto che inizialmente questo aspetto ci aveva un po' preoccupati, ma una volta noleggiato il mezzo ci siamo resi conto che quella che poteva essere una pecca era in realtà la grande qualità di questo hotel: la tranquillità e il relax (si dorme benissimo) e sopratutto l'affaccio diretto su una meravigliosa spiaggia! Da Kokkari e Ireon, quella di Mykali è in assoluto la spiaggia di ciottoli con il mare più bello!! Consilgiamo il noleggio di un mezzo perché l'isola ha tante bellezze da scoprire, ma l'hotel ha un ottimo servizio navetta gratuito che a giorni alterni porta alle due cittadine principali, Samos città e Pythagorion- da prenotare in reception dalle 14 del giorno precedente. Siamo dunque felici di aver trascorso una settimana in questo hotel e se dovessimo tornare a Samos ritorneremmo sicuramente allo Zefiros con il piacere di ritrovare questo staff!
I stayed here the last week of August as part of Richmond holidays. The staff at zefiros hotel are extremely friendly and were accommodating of my gluten intolerance at meal times. My bedroom was cleaned to a good standard, although one time the full bin bag was left on the bathroom worktop which was not very hygienic. Very good lunches and I would recommend sitting on the terrace as you can get a good sea view and a free dessert. Would recommend a stay here and am already planning my return
Hotel che ha bisogno di una decisa ristrutturazione e questo soprattutto nei bagni che sono decisamente datati, inoltre le camere a piano terra sono da evitare. Il personale è cordiale e disponibile ma per quanto riguarda la cucina è sicuramente la peggiore che io abbia mai provato, cibo scadente e ripetitivo e non degno della cucina greca. Il tour operator segnalava la presenza di taverne nei pressi ma l'hotel è da consigliare solo a chi vuole fare una vita da asceta perché è isolato e senza vita. Inoltre segnalo che l'assistenza in loco è praticamente inesistente e decisamente menefreghista, l'unica cosa che interessa è vendere le gite e per il resto c'è solo da augurarsi di non averne necessità alcuna. E' un hotel frequentato da soli inglesi e gli italiani scarseggiano decisamente tant'è che non vengono spiegate in nessun modo quali sono le strutture a disposizione dei clienti, ivi compresa la spiaggia. Le uniche note positive sono la bellezza dell'isola, l'acqua del mare cristallina e il clima delizioso, cose che grazie al cielo non dipendono dall'albergo. Rachele Benedetti
Evitare la camera a piano terra ! Sono infestate da scarafaggi e ragni !!! Quest’anno ho dormito malissimo perché pieno di ragazzi inglesi rumorosi e maleducati La pulizia della camera lascia molto a desiderare .Rifacevano i letti in fretta e male
Lovely place, for a holiday, friendly staff, amazing food ,5☆service, room very clean and champagne ?? on arrival nice and chilled, relaxing admosfera, pool and the see worm ,perfect holiday, I do recommend and definitely we will be back ??
