The room was immaculate and Erica made our stay so lovely! We felt very welcomed and looked after incredibly well, due to Erica we will come stay again when we travel to Devon again.

Just got back from a 2 night stay here. In my experience the hotel was clean & the room nice & spacious, the shower was also decent. However, the negatives I felt were mainly that the hotel staff were extremely hard to contact, it took me 6 phone calls over 2 days before I managed to get through to anyone, and never received any response to emails I had sent. The hotel had no atmosphere, the restaurant/bar did not exist and we only saw a female cleaner, there was no staff around, no reception staff, although the lady cleaner was very friendly & professional. When my partner arrived at the hotel to check-in no staff were present, & his key card was just left on the desk with his name on a piece of paper with it. So he was unsure if he was meant to just take it, but as there was no staff present & no one was answering the phone he just took the key. The tv in the room was in the absolute worst position, it was on a wall to the right hand side of the bed, very high up & to watch it you had to completely turn your neck & body. The hotel is situated in a little village, which we didn’t explore but it was very quiet around. However, on our second night at 2am a baby was crying for a long period of time with the mother shouting at it which kept my partner awake. For a cheap stay it was ok and the bed was very comfy, but next time I’d stay elsewhere & pick somewhere that included breakfast. A positive was that the car park was free, and plenty of spaces.

No one on reception. All keys left on desk with bits of paper with full names on them. I think I was the only female in quite a number, which clearly had my room number visible. Not great safety wise.
Key did not work. Had to traipses down steep stairs and narrow corridors to phone then use master key and wait a couple of hours for working key to be sorted. In the meantime received phone call, text and WhatsApp from the hotel trying to contact another guest with issues.
Restaurant and car shut. Clearly from reviews this is a long term permanent thing.
Large car park with electric charging but really poor lighting by a derelict part of the hotel, with broken barriers. Did not feel safe as a lone female.
Room good size and modern, but floor hadn’t been mopped and toilet brush was disgusting.
No tea spoons to make a drink. No bedside light so just the very bright downlighting or nothing.
Could be so much better if someone was on site and a bit of effort put in

Room was good no bar or dinning area what I mean is no food or drink was available at all out side carpark area was very dark no lights at all. Not great for winter mornings not sure if I would stay again

Sock & deodorant can left under bed from previous guests
Room v v hot.
Parking easy. Check in early and easy. Staff friendly. Bed comfy

Plenty of parking. Series on reception greeted me and was very pleasant and courteous. The room was warm and comfortable and clean.

The hotel itself is very basic, didn't have our booking to begin with but staff work very hard to sort it. Bar eas closed, no restaurant due to rennovations. Small bathroom but comfortable bed.

Really happy with the room and the member of staff who checked us in was really friendly and explained everything.
It's a shame the bar and restaurant is not open I could see real potential there.
Local restaurants nearby so not a problem
