Très bon accueil, de bons conseils pour des restaurants hors des sentiers battus. Magnifique demeure, hors du temps, mais tout le confort est là, très grandes chambres. Un bon moment au petit-déjeuner. Nous prévoyons d'y retourner dès que possible.

There is something about le patio that I really like. We have stopped here several times now over the years after stopping at other establishments in Saumur. You enter the hotel into a wonderful secluded courtyard. The hosts are very , very friendly and are a great part of the stay. The hotel is located on the main road along the river so a wonderful location for getting around the town and the surrounding area. The rooms are beautiful with period furniture with a shabby chiq look thats just creates the perfect atmosphere. Breakfast is served either in a lovely breakfast area indoors or outside in the patio when the weather suits which is a very pretty area. i would definitely recommend stopping here if visiting Saumur Paul and Geraldine Lancashire

Absolutely beautiful place. So much character and charm . A very warm welcome by lovely hosts . In the perfect position to explore Saumur in between the castle and the Loire . We will definitely return. Lovely continental breakfast included. Not recommended for those with mobility issues due to steep and uneven stairs but 100% recommended to everyone else.

Nous avons bien aimé notre séjour à la maison d'h?tes 'le Patio' à Saumur. Les propriétaires sont accueillants et nous ont offert tout plein de services et conseils au delà de nos attentes. La maison est à deux pas du chateau et du centre de Saumur avec tout plein de restaurants, boutiques, commerces etc... Notre chambre verte était spacieuse, au calme et la literie très confortable. Que dire .... Cela fait la 3e fois que nous sommes extrêmement bien accueilli dans cette établissement (même avec une réservation de dernière minute ??). Bref tout est top accueil, chambre top, literie top, et joie et bonne humeur toujours au rdv . Petit coucou à la mascotte coco ?? Merci, merci et merci. Cindy et Richard (Maigrot).

This is our 2nd time here, absolutely fabulous. Great location, great rooms, will always stay here when in Saumur. Staff friendly and so helpful and make you feel so welcome and at home. The patio area is so nice and a perfect way to end your day over a glass wine.

This was our second stay at Le Patio and we will always try to return every year! Anyone staying in this beautiful part of France should experience Le Patio for the most authentic experience. This Bed & Breakfast offers outstanding service, delivered by Romain and Stephanie, who put their heart and soul into this wonderful space by the Loire. It is abundantly clear that they are passionate about Saumur and the history of the area, always keen to share their knowledge and recommendations to guide you through your stay and ensure you make the most of your trip. The rooms are simply stunning, quintessentially French in design and with modern, spacious and clean bathrooms. Each room offers an individual space, comfortable and with a bit of history hidden within. Each room offers a lovely view, even those without a view of the Loire will provide an overview of the lovely courtyard where breakfast is served, or the surrounding buildings which are a piece of art in themselves. The attic room has a skylight which perfectly frames the Chateau overhead! We loved the french breakfast. It is perfectly French with bread and pastries, juice, tea and coffee, additional options for Granola, fruit and yogurt. Breakfast is always served by Stephanie or Romain which makes the stay lovely and personal. Every morning they take their time to greet you personally and ensure you are enjoying your stay and to offer some suggestions for things to do in the area or some great places for dinner. Le patio is in a perfect location with the best restaurant in the area ‘l’essential’ at the back of the building along with the stairs leading up to the Chateau. Take a right turn and you will find yourself in the square which offers a number of great restaurants and bars. It is difficult to express in words the beauty of this little B&B, it is an extremely special place and is run by two very special people!

This hotel is an absolute gem. Very shabby chic, but beautiful and stylish too. It's ideally located, right on the river, and a short stroll into the town centre, where there are shops and bars and restaurants. The chateau is a little climb up the hill. Our room was lovely, very charming and full of character with uneven floors and beams. The stairs are very old and wouldn't be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Breakfast was a simple French breakfast, fresh bread, jams, cheese and fruit & yogurt. The owners are helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend.

We stayed at this hotel about 5 years ago and went straight to it on our second visit to Saumur this year. Two couples this time - I brought my parents. Hotel - great condition. Old world charm but in a modern way. Central courtyard. Great breakfast. Street parking outside - we got a spot every time. 5 minutes walk to town. On the river. Room - Big. We didn’t get the Blue room as it had already been taken (we had it last time) but had 2 suites on the top (2nd) floor. Loads of room. Very clean. We all loved our stay. Staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. (We did not use the spa facilities).

Guests are super nice. Very nice large bed and very comfy. Large bathroom with all amenities. Good breakfast and also parking right across the street. Walking distance to nice restaurants. Chateau de Saumur is nearby.
