Matt and Liz went out of their way to provide a safe and peaceful refuge for me during the fires in Deep Creek. The room was lovely and clean with many thoughtful touches to make it more comfortable. Their concern and kindness and place of sanctuary was greatly appreciated at the end of a long day. Highly recommended for a restful stopover or holiday base.
What a delightful experience, from the quaint historic cottages with comfy beds and pillows, our daily coffee and continental breakfast and most of all our Fire and Forage experience with the hosts Liz and Matt. This was a highlight which I would highly recommend booking. Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing stay.
Our accommodation was clean, comfortable & had free WiFi. Matthew was friendly & helpful. The living room/kitchenette had a toaster, kettle, microwave, as well as crockery/cutlery. Parking was free, and there was a BBQ, and filtered water. There are great walks in the vicinity & cafes/pubs within a 15 min drive. Beach not far. The local caravan park has takeaways. This is basic accommodation, and provides most amenities required for a relaxing stay.
We stayed at the property as it was less than a 15 min drive to Cape Jervis and we needed to head there early the next morning to catch the ferry. The place was not difficult to find and in spite of it being just next to the main road, provided a quiet night's rest. We were met by the owner in the carpark and shown to our room immediately. Very easy and no fuss at all. The room itself is large with a small kitchenette, double bed, single bed, sofa and toilet. Careful thought has been put into the provision of coffee, tea, and even instant noodles. The room was quite cold and draughty, but the windy weather conditions that night probably made it worse. The bed was also too soft for our liking and pillow were pretty flat. We were given great help by the owner on where to find food (nearest being in Normanville) and he kindly provided us maps on the area as well. I'd recommend this place if you needed an early start to Cape Jervis like we did.
We really liked our stay here, sadly only one night. We were met by the friendly owner, Mat who gave us the heads up on things to do in the area. The room is spacious, clean and there is a generous feel in their offerings in the bathroom and kitchen. Highly recommended.
