The two bedroom apartment was so much more than what I expected..it was so clean classy and Chic designed.
I loved the gas fireplace, perfect for winter cuddly nights.
The bubble bath was sensational…
Everything about the design and style was well executed for fun and relaxing.
Can’t wait to return, for longer stay .??
Such a stunning place!! The rooms were immaculate and spacious. The bathrooms were beautiful and there was an abundance of towels!
My favourite aspects were the short walk to the Novotel facilities, the air con and most of all the view onto the golf course with all the kangaroo visitors! It was so peaceful and restful. Also the Novotel staff were very courteous and helpful.
You're missing out if you don't visit!
The units are nice. Extremely small toilet. Quite a lot of cobwebs and spiders especially on the balcony. The swooping magpies was a massive problem for our family. Two daughters got wounded by them. No warning at checkin or prior to stay just a small sign on the building. People were screaming constantly!
The location was wonderful — very quiet and close to the Swan Valley vineyards. The room itself was spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a good-sized bathroom. The kitchen had everything you’d expect, although it was quite small, so cooking in the room isn’t very practical.
The main letdown was cleanliness. Rooms are only cleaned every six days, which we didn’t know before booking. You can exchange towels daily, but that’s about it. When we arrived, we asked for the floors to be done as they clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly — it was still below the standard of quality hotels. Although the carpets looked new, they weren’t clean- there were toenails and popcorn from previous guests on the carpet I contacted reception to request a proper clean, but was told that according to Sebel’s rules, cleaning only happens every six days. Had we known this beforehand, we probably wouldn’t have booked.
The swimming pool looked nice, but during our stay it had a lot of bird and duck droppings, which made it unappealing. We used it once but didn’t feel it was clean enough to go back.
There’s a golf course nearby for those interested, but the on-site café was a definite disappointment — overpriced and average at best. My husband ordered what was listed as a Scotch fillet steak, but even the waitress admitted it was actually minute steak. We asked for a refund since it was inedible (all fat), but were refused because “he ate it” — even though he only touched the fries and bread roll. So, essentially, it was an expensive chip sandwich.
Overall, while the place looks appealing and the setting is beautiful, the experience didn’t justify the cost. Between the lack of proper cleaning, poor food, and high prices, we’re not sure we’d stay again.
The Sebel Swan Valley is nestled in the heart of Swan Valley and is an awesome place to disconnect from the urban hustle and play a round of golf (mini or otherwise). Plenty to see and do, and you definitely need a car. The apartments are great, newly done up and don't lack for anything. Just bring your clothes and cooking stuff and you're good to go. Really has the feel of a chalet.
Reception ladies at the Vines were fantastic but they were unable to change room to requested room as that was supposed to be done by Sebel staff previously. Shower head pressure is poor. Room has no privacy( hence why I have always requested upstairs) as people constantly walking past meaning you have to have curtains shut making no sunlight in room. Also could hear room occupants next to me quite easily.
