The house was nice, if a little run down, but comfortable. I enjoyed it BUT we never got our breakfast that I read so many people raving about. The owners just didnt apear to get out of bed and make the breakfast, and we stayed till checkout time, so not like we were to early. Sent a message to the owners asking what the go was, never heard back from them until this day.
Very comfortable and clean room, lovely breakfast. It’s not a hotel, it’s a house that gives services like a hotel (and possibly more).
It might be a better solution for some and a matter for others.
Overall it was great!

Made very welcome by host Tom and given information needed for our stay. Breakfast was well served and very good value with a good choice. Although we arrived by bus, very easy and within a 10 min walk, there was plenty of local parking. The house was a curiosity with wonders on walls and in public areas. Great. Could do with a tidy up but this added to the chaotic charm. We would definitely return to stay again. Plenty of local cafes, restaurants and shop nearby.
We really enjoyed our 2 night stay. We were made very welcome by a very friendly Tom. Had a very homely feeling to our stay. Very comfortable bed and very quiet at night. Had a good nights sleep both nights. Very nice bathroom with good shower. Breakfast was amazing and Christine May sure we were happy with lots of variety eg full English breakfast and a good variety of other things. Very friendly people and would definitely recommend.
When we arrived at claremont house we were greeted at the door with the host in his dressing gown and pyjamas ,the entrance to the house was appalling old hifi stereo systems ladders garden tools the lounge had exercise equipment sitting at the side of the couch breakfast cereals were on a table with the boxes open toaster on the floor multiple electrical plugs in sockets and extensions fire hazard in my opinion our bedroom pillowcases looked discoloured and washed out stair carpets had gaffers tape on them this place should not be open to the public it's in poor condition and cannot understand the positive ratings this place gets on it's reviews we have taken pictures of the house also appalling correspondence from the owner didn't answer any of our calls or messages we left the house and had to book in elsewhere horrible place do not book into this house/bed and breakfast even now he hasn't been in touch don't waste your money on this place we will be looking for a full refund pictures of the house online don't represent the condition of the property.

First impressions not great , but once inside people were very polite and friendly, breakfast was excellent. Would have preferred an en-suite. But overall Quite satisfied.
Very comfortable bed, great breakfast and service.
Slightly strange booking in experience but overall a nice stay and I would certainly stay there again.
