Overall our stay was good. The room was clean and all the staff were pretty helpful. They were very accommodating in letting us check in several hours early. I did find it a bit deceptive that Asgard said they have free parking — but there are only four spaces. We ended up parking on the street both nights we stayed there. The first night wasn’t too bad as we found a spot directly across the street. The second night we had to trudge a couple of blocks in pretty heavy rain. And during daytime hours there is a two hour limit on street parking and it is not free. The location was excellent and close to lots of Galway attractions. I would stay there again, but only if I didn’t have a car.

Excellent value for money. 7 minutes walk from Eyre Square. Free parking at the door. All amenities close by. Beautiful clean B&B. Staff very knowledgable regarding places to visit and sites to see. Staff very pleasant. Continental breakfast included in price.

We were there for 3 nights.. the heaters dont function prpperly. We hv to go down everytime and request them to turn it on. The reception is operated from kitchen. Post 5pm, thrre is no one to help out at the house as they lock up and leave... it was very cold and we cud not get the heater on in the room... drinking water/ tea bags in room couldnot be replenished as no one around after 5 pm.... no, I dont expect anyone to be there 24x7, but you hv guests ( paying) staying with you, you need to ensure these basic needs like water / teabags sugar is avlbl, even if staff is npt around.. no, will not recommend this property.

Zimmer und Bad klein aber okay. Frühstück bescheiden. Saft aus dem Tetrapak, Schinken billigste Supermarktware, K?se, Croissant verschiedene Brotsorten, Obst kleingeschnitten Cornflakes und das wars. Preis für eine Nacht 100 Eur überteuert. NIE wieder B&B. Waren mit einer Bustour da.

Very family friendly, kind and thorough attention to detail. Extremely tasty breakfast with fresh baked croissants and endless pots of coffee as well as loads more continental style. One of the friendliest breakfast rooms too, we chatted away with everyone staying there. Easy to access from Eyre sq, train and bus station, up a little hill from all. Would definitely return. Thank you.

I had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Asgard Guest House and I cannot recommend highly enough staying there. As opposed to the detached feeling I always have with staying at hotels, returning to this guest house at the end of each day of sightseeing felt like returning home. The location is a short walk (about 600 meters) from the central train and bus stations and downtown Galway. The staff couldn't have be more gracious, attentive and hospitable, the room and bed were super comfortable and spacious and clean. They serve a lovely breakfast buffet and seating is in a glassed in dining room with the view of their beautiful garden, a beautiful view I also had from my room window on the floor above. The only downside was the bathroom, which is very outdated and needs renovation. I most highly recommend staying here!!

Clean, but small and compact room. Easy casual walk to town. Fergal was very friendly and accomodating and Marta was helpful with restaurant and bar suggestions. Breakfast was included. Continental style with very fresh food items: cereals, breads, etc. The only negative was the noise from the above room. We could hear every footstep.
