I had the pleasure of visiting Kosovo to speak at a conference, and stayed at the Emerald. Regular readers will know that I am not normally someone that gives our great ratings to be generous – I just don’t think that’s useful for readers if they’re not aware of potential downsides. But I literally could not find anything wrong with this place. (I mean, the traffic in Prishtina is fun, but that’s not the hotel’s fault). More than that, there are several plus points. The staff were fantastic – uniformly helpful and attentive even when I was being daft, and with better English than mine. The hotel has some great facilities – the business conference was on site – and a great couple of bars and even a fab looking pool (sadly I had not bought my trunks). The room was a generous size – at least a queen bed, as well as a desk and sofa – the wifi worked better than many other places I’ve been (Saudi, I am thinking of you), and although there wasn’t an ironing board in the room, it arrived with record speed when I asked for it. Honestly, I just really liked this place. It’s a short hop into the City centre as well (albeit not always a quick one! ?? ) and well placed for the airport too. I hope I get to go back again.

Un magnifique h?tel en périphérie de Pristina. Le personnel était accueillant, aidant et chaleureux. Le restaurant de l’h?tel sert des plats succulents, bien présentés et à des prix extrêmement compétitifs. Le spa est magnifique et immense (sauna, hammam, piscine, jacuzzi, bac d’eau glacée). Le petit déjeuner est délicieux, les serveurs sont toujours là pour nous aider. Je recommande à 100%

Good value for money. Staff was kind. The room was acceptable but the air conditioning was very loud.
