Bellrock Lodge is gelegen op een helling, ongeveer 400 meter van Russell Wharf (waar de meeste restaurants gelegen zijn). Je bereikt Bellrock lodge via een erg steile oprit (lastig als je uit eten geweest bent!) Het is een selfcatering accommodatie, met vier gelijkaardige studiokamers naast elkaar op de gelijkvloerse verdieping. De kamers zijn supercomfortabel ingericht en voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt voor een aangenaam verblijf (bvb. nespressomachine, koelkast, microgolfoven ...). Elke kamer heeft bovendien een ruime eigen badkamer, een terras met fantastisch uitzicht over de Bay of Islands, comfortabele relaxzetels en een uitstekend kingsize bed. Wie op zoek is naar een selfcatering verblijf, vindt hier alles wat hij of zij nodig heeft.
Bellrock Lodge is a great base for a visit to Russell and the Bay of Islands. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a balcony and a great view over the town and bay. It's a B&B, so no amenities on the property other than a paid use laundry room. It's only a 10-minute walk into town, but there's a short steep uphill section on the way back which might be difficult for older or mobility-challenged guests.

This spacious, clean, modern accommodation was close to restaurants, cafes and ferries. We enjoyed making use of the DVD library and hot tub. The driveway is very steep if you're walking but we had a lovely view because of the raised position. The floorboards overhead are a little creaky but overall we enjoyed our stay.
