I am so sorry to read that your stay was not as you had hoped, this is the first we have heard about it as nothing was brought to our attention during your stay, so it is a shame that we were not given the opportunity to rectify any of your complaints and we are doing it online. When you arrived earlier than the check in time unfortunately I was on the phone when you were knocking, so as I opened the door I did apologise and say " I am so sorry I was just on the phone"; as I did not want to appear rude as you had to wait for me to open the door, I did ask you politely if you could move your car backwards a little bit as there were other guests due to arrive and we have to get 6 cars on the drive, which unfortunately when someone parks in the middle of an empty car park it can throw the rest of the parking out for everyone else that is due to arrive. I did explain that to you in a nice manner. The room was serviced after your first night, the bins were emptied as I did that myself, I did pull your duvet back up but no I did not put the bed throw back on due to there being other personal items left out on the bed so as to not touch those and disrepect your belongings I did not put the throw back on however the bed was made appropriately. We do not replenish ear buds after one night, these are only there as a gesture as we find most people do not come away to clean their ears, we would of happily given you more had you of asked for some more. Again if you had of asked for a fan we would of given you one, as one wasn't asked for we presumed you were ok with just having the windows open. As this is our home and not a hotel we do not stock a lot of surplus items as there is not a lot of storage space. The 5 other swimmers that were staying at the house were all fine with having self service cereal station with drinks etc in the dining room, all of them understanding that breakfast started at 8am and anything earlier would be self service, as we understood that swimmers generally do not swim on full stomachs, everyone else appreciated the fact that they would be able to eat something and were glad of the self service station and appreciated us doing that for them. We were overall very accommodating, always serving with a smile, even when this was not reciprocated and we were looked down upon, and when asked we always dealt with your enquiries, I seem to remember you both having drinks with my husband in the front terrace, so it seems a shame that we were not approached with your issues that could of easily been dealt with at the house. We are sorry this wasn't for you but we understand that we cannot please everyone unfortunately. Take Care Karen! Just to add out prices are not inflated due to demand, they are the same prices all year round in fact. And yes maybe the tone was set for the weekend, but that was not from ourselves, we accommodate all our guests requests if we can but seeing as you never came to us with any of this, and nothing was said to
