It was nice to be able to spread out after too many nights in hotel rooms. The apartment is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location is perfect for centrally walking and enjoying Reykjavik.

The bed was comfortable and luckily we had day excursions because it was crowded and smelled like sewage and mold. We were in a small outbuilding not represented by the castle building photos advertised. We booked becuase we thought we were getting a luxery apartment. Instead we where in a converted shed or garage in the back of the building in the yard. We had to keep the window open to vent the smell. We had no view of anything but the back of the building. Could have gone to a hotel for same price and less hassle.

There was a problem with the toilet as you point out. Surprisingly you did not contact us during your stay. It would have been fixed immediately. It was fixed as soon as you left and our staff could enter the apartment.There have been many good reviews for Castle House, including the studio apartment you booked. Images for this apartment appear when you choose the apartment type. Until then you see a selection of images from all the apartment types.It is unfortunate the you felt you had to write this very negative review, although I do understand that one disappointment can lead to general disappointment with everything else.

I booked an extra night on accident and when I called they will not do refunds. Got there and hear was off and windows open, cold as crap.People above me were loud and woke me up everyday. Didn’t like that they would come in my room everyday and put my chocolate in the fridge. If I wanted it cold I would’ve put it in there. Good location but wouldn’t go back

Thank you for your review. Our rates are non refundable but if you make a mistake and inform us within 24 hours we will refund you.I am surprised to learn of your chocolate being refrigerated daily. While our staff is efficient and try to make sure everything is ok, this is a bit eccentric. I will disduss this with housekeeping. I thought nobody would like refrigeratd chocolate !You say this happened every day, Still you did not complain with us on our 24 hour helpline. Perhaps this did not happen that oftenOur heating system is very efficient and quickly warms the entire apartment.I am glad you enjoyed thelocation

Excellent Location The location of Castle House Lux Apartments is ideal. It’s right next to Tjornin Lake and within easy walking to downtown, shopping areas, and pickup spots for tours. There is a large supermarket within a 5 min walk. The kitchen is small, but functional with a 2-burner stove and a small refrigerator, which was sufficient for our needs. We were able to cook all our dinner meals there. Our rooms were very clean. The 2 upstairs apartments with a balcony require climbing a set of stairs to the front door and another longer flight to get to the room. This could be an issue for those with mobility limitations. It was cool and wet most of the days we were there, so we didn’t make use of the balcony. The management staff replied very quickly to emails and messages. When our delayed luggage was to be delivered to the apartment, Castle House provided someone to meet the delivery person as we weren’t available for the delivery to our room. They also have a storage room to hold luggage for a few hours if needed pre/post our stay.

The apartment was clean and had plenty of room for two people. We found the location very good since we walked from the bus terminal and also walked around town a lot. We were concerned about luggage storage, but it was available. There is a phone for local calls and in case anything is needed from the property manager.

整体入住体验良好，舒适度高但必先跟屋主要求，每天才会有清洁服务跟屋主沟通亦颇费时，因为清洁服务是外判，需要多番沟通才拿到新毛巾替换。
