We enjoyed our 10 day stay at the hotel. We were a family of five spread over two rooms. We were bought a welcome drink on arrival, which was very pleasant. Our bags were also taken straight to the room via a golf buggy, which was a nice touch and something that we’ve only experienced in the Caribbean. Check-in did take a long time, and we were sat on the sofa for nearly 45 minutes while our passports were being dealt with. A quicker check-in would’ve been appreciated after a long journey! Our first room had a bad sewage smell. Thankfully the hotel were happy to move us rooms, and sorted it the day after arrival. The second room was much better, there was no unpleasant smell and the view from the balcony was much improved. We had bed and breakfast only , as we like to eat out every day at the local restaurants. So we did not experience any of the restaurants in the hotel aside from the buffet breakfast. The food was good quality and well set out, the dining area was very beautiful compared to other buffet restaurants that we have been to. The coffee service and clearing up was very slow, which did let it down slightly. We used the kids club most days, this was okay, although not the best. We felt that the hotel should have provided more toys, for the children. For example, dolls, dressing up clothes, musical instruments, toy cars… anything that could be used for individual role role-play. Other hotels had boxes of toys, which kept our children happy if they didn’t want to join in with the organised activity. The hotel and its grounds were beautiful . The grounds and hotel were very well kept and clean. We were there off-season and there were plenty of beds available at all times. Unfortunately My children didn’t like the saltwater pool which was heated, which is very unfortunate, as one of the main reasons that I booked the hotel was that they had a heated pool, however I did not realise that this was a saltwater pool. It would be better if the heated pool was freshwater! The pools in general were beautiful, although the pools were too cold to swim in aside from the children’s pool which was about 60 cm deep and more of a paddling pool. The beach was stony and you need sea shoes, although the water is beautiful and clear to Swimming. We hired a pedalo and had a wonderful hour out on the sea, jumping in and using the slide. We hired a car from a private provider based in Kos town, we were able to park the car for free at the hotel and it was fantastic to be able to explore the island. We paid a quarter of the price that we were quoted by Kosmos cars which were based at the hotel. Entertainment in the evenings was high-quality. Great singers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would return. The hotel gave us a free late checkout and voucher for lunch, which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Overall, we think it was a great hotel

On our last night here & I have to say it has been lovely from the second we walked into the reception. All staff each & everyone of them have been nothing but pleasant & accomodating. Our room a family suite with a pool room 628 is situated perfectly with a sea view, near all pools , bar & lunchtime buffet. The hotel is closing for the winter it seems on Monday ~ but the standard of food & care hasn’t gone down in the slightest. The quality of the food is perfect, the selection and freshness is very good and to a high standard. A totally gorgeous hotel with staff to match. Easily a 10 out of 10 if not more. Would definately return. Thankyou

We went to the Grecotel Luxme in Kos for a 10 day break in October. The hotel, although 5 star was not as luxurious as expected. The public areas were very good, from reception to the many pools and restaurants and bars. Unfortunately, the bedroom was very old and tired, not 5 star quality (more like 3 star) and not as shown in the photos. The door frame to the bedroom was loose and rocked quite substantially if someone knocked on the door. I did tell Reception and they said they would report it but nothing happened. We were half board which included buffet dinner or lunch. No drinks were included, as expected, however we did at least think that we would have some water with our meal without having to buy it. All the hotel staff were lovely, friendly and helpful, especially our bedroom cleaner, however there was one member of staff who was condesending and rude. It was the lady that greeted people at the door of main restaurant for breakfast and dinner. I don't think she smiled once it made us feel very unwelcome. This was a big holiday for us and it wasn't cheap and we were left disappointed. The hotel overall was lovely but the bedroom was poor and not in keeping with the public areas and it only takes one member of staff to ruin your experience.

De best hotel ervaring die wij ooit hebben gehad, zonder twijfel. Vanaf binnenkomt wordt je fantastisch onthaald, naar je kamer begeleid en het voelt als een warm bad. Alles is ontzettend schoon en mooi, de kamers zijn prima, het zwembad en mooi met goeie ligbedden, waar er ook voldoende van zijn, de restaurants zijn allemaal erg goed en de kwaliteit van het eten is goed en voor ieder wat wils. Maar vooral het personeel is overal zo ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam, heel hartelijk en spreken allemaal goed genoeg Engels. Ze doen allemaal ontzettend hun best om je welkom te laten voelen en je te helpen wanneer en waarmee ze maar kunnen.

Same story as a lot of others who've travelled recently, we were apprehensive about some of the other negative reviews but we've left wondering if they even went to the same hotel?! Although it has to be said, we did visit after the summer rush so that probably had something to do with the feedback we'd seen. We had a brilliant relaxing week, we stayed in a sea view room which was perfectly catered to our needs, on a half-board basis which is our preference. When we arrived in the morning, the main lobby was very quite and peaceful, and we were given drinks and hot towels straight away while our bags were taken to our room. The check in process was quick and easy and the receptionist walked us to our room and showed how to use the AC and a few other things. All very friendly (as they were throughout the whole trip) and helped dispel any worry we had. The room was very spacious, had a balcony with a great view of the pools and the sea beyond, and we hardly heard anything at night. Yes the bathrooms could do with renovating (there was a phone next to the loo) but they were more than fine for us. There are teabags and instant coffee, a coffee machine if you want to use that (2EUR a pod), and a fridge with ample storage. The whole resort is beautifully designed and very lush with lots of greenery and plants everywhere which is great. The pools are saltwater which we'd not tried before but we didn't notice any difference to a regular pool. We had no trouble finding sunbeds in the morning, even when we had a later start and got there after 11am. Plenty of options and on some days we even moved around to follow the sun throughout the day. The bar is great and everyone working there was very friendly. The beach is also right there after the pools, and there are loads of sun loungers along it so no trouble finding a space there too. We ate at the main buffet restaurant most nights and it exceeded our expectations, the array of food they have prepared every night is brilliant. And in the morning they have everything that you might want from a hotel breakfast, I usually had a cooked breakfast, then went for a round of pastries/pancakes/fruit afterwards. It was lovely. We also visited the Italian and Asian à la carte restaurants on a couple of nights. The Italian was a bit of a let down if I'm being honest. We ordered the grilled beef and lamb chops, and it just wasn't enough to fill us up at all. Then the tiramisu we ordered looked lovely but was 95% cream which was a bit sickening. So just keep that in mind if you visit the Italian. The Asian on the other had was wonderful, they do it several nights of the week down by the water front so you get a lovely view, and it's nicely lit and atmospheric. We had the noodles and duck wraps as a main and the crispy box to start. Perfect meal. Few other notes - it was my birthday during the trip and we were surprised to come back to our room and a cake had arrived! Neither myself or my fiance had said anything

Very nice hotel, great pools and grounds with pleasant rooms. However, the food is less than average for a Greek hotel, where food is normally so good. The staff lack experience and find it hard to smile, also unusual for a Greek hotel. Service around the pool is particularly poor as staff walk around with their heads in a mobile divice that takes their eyes off the customers, it became a game to try and attract the pool boys and girls. It's a shame as it could be so good.

Das Hotel haben wir über TUI gebucht und waren schon bei der Ankunft sehr begeistert. Da wir sehr sp?t angereist waren, haben wir sofort nach dem schnellen Check In noch ein Abendessen bekommen. Das ganze Team, ob beim Buffet, Empfang, Bar, Housekeeping u.a. waren zu jeder Zeit bemüht uns einen tollen Aufenthalt zu gew?hrleisten. Das Buffet war zum Frühstück oder Abendessen immer abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker. Die Anlage war sehr gepflegt und gemütlich. Wir haben uns die ganze Zeit sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten eine tolle Zeit. Unser Transfer bei der Abreise war sp?t, sodass wir problemlos einen Late Check Out kostenlos bekommen haben. Sogar eine Dusche kurz vor Abreise war noch m?glich. Alles in allem ein tolles Hotel was h?lt, was er verspricht.
